The Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan actress recently shed some light on her khatta-meetha bond with mom Shweta Tiwari. Palak revealed how she had a ‘WTF’ reaction on Shweta’s second pregnancy.
During a recent media interaction, Palak shared that she was in a state of shock when she got to know about Shweta’s second pregnancy with Abhinav Kohli. “I remember myself being very perturbed as a 15-year-old when my mom told me ki you know, we are going to have a baby. I was like, ‘No! No! (shakes head) I said, No! I was like, Noooo! Mummy was like what do you mean, no? Main toh baith ke aise baat ki jaise meri aur meri mumma ka koi contract he aur unhone breach of contract kiya ho,” said the actor.
She went on to add how her mommy dearest reacted to the entire situation, “Mummy mujhe aise dekh rahi he ki baat kya kar rahi he kya bol rahi he tu? I was like nahi, mujhe kisine nahi bola tha ki apko baccha hone wala he… mujhe kisi ne nahi bola tha ki ye hone wala he. Main prepared nahi thi. Ye meri terms of contract mein nahi tha! Mummy was like please stop overreacting.”
Palak was just 15 when Shweta broke the news to her. Well, it’s only understandable for a teenager to react unpredictably and feel insecure about sharing her mom with their step-sibling. For the unversed, Palak Tiwari is the daughter of Shweta Tiwari and her first husband Raja Chaudhary. Owing to their toxic and turbulent marriage, the two decided to separate in 2012, when Palak was just 12. Sharing how Palak reacted to her parents’ separation, Shweta Tiwari once revealed, “Palak, who was only 12 years old, had seen the atrocities done by her father on me. He beat and harassed me many times in front of him. But, she always had a hope that her father would love her as she watches Raja on TV. He made many false claims about me that I would not allow him to meet my daughter!” Shweta then got married to Abhinav Kohli in 2013 and had Reyansh Tiwari, but the two got separated after nine years of marriage.
