Andddd… it is time to pop the champagne coz the wait is over! Our fave reality show Lock Upp has come to an end and we have the winner of the season. Can we get a drumroll, please? It is none other than Munawar Faruqui! Kangana Ranaut made the announcement amidst intense drama as Munawar went up against Payal Rohatgi and Anjali Arora.
Well TBH, we’re not very surprised. After all, the comedian had us all rooting for him, right from day one. In the last two months, Munawar garnered immense fanfare on the ‘Gram and became one of the most talked about participants on the show. From his deep shyaaris to his flirtationship with Anjali, he kept us all on the edge of our seats. During his journey on the show, Munawar also made revelations about his personal life, from talking about a traumatic childhood experience to being married, he was quite honest.
From the moment Munawar entered the Lock Upp, it was pretty evident that his eyes were on the prize and he didn’t miss any chance to impress the audience. His hard work certainly paid off and we are so happy for him!
Apart from Munawar, the finalists’ list included, Prince Narula, Shivam Sharma, Anjali Arora, Payal Rohatgi and Azma Fallah. Now we can finally say that the madness has finally settled with Munawar walking away with the trophy. Munawar and Payal were the top two finalists and the stand-up comedian claimed the grand prize, while Payal became the runner-up. Considering their popularity, Payal and Munawar were certainly our top picks in the race for the trophy this year.

When Lock Upp premiered online, we all were worried that the show is going to be just another variant of Bigg Boss. However, the reality show proved us all wrong and in the last few weeks, Lock Upp has become one of the most watched shows online.
NGL, our days are going to feel a little empty now that the show is over. For now, let’s celebrate Munawar’s victory and hope that Kangana makes an announcement about the next season soon!
