Harshad Chopda stole our hearts ever since he first appeared on our TV sets as Karan Srivastav on Zee TV’s Mamta. Soon he became the heartthrob of Indian television and won several accolades for his portrayal of Abhimanyu Birla on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He was even on the list of Top 20 Most Desirable Men on Indian Television 2017 and TBH, we totally think he deserves the title!
Recently, the actor opened up about his wedding plans and gave us his candid take on love and marriage. NGL, it’s hella honest! Speaking to a media portal, he said, “I have fallen in love quite a few times but couldn’t reach till the marriage phase. Love and marriage are quite different. If I marry the way I fall in love then there shall be many weddings. It isn’t that I haven’t thought of marriage, but whenever I was in a relationship, my end goal was marriage. But it didn’t happen with either of the relationships”.
According to the grapevine, Harshad is currently dating Pranali Rathod, his co-star from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Fans of the show fondly call the two AbhiRa–a combination of their character’s names Abhimanyu and Akshara. In the interview, Harshad also gave the followers of the show an insight into the relationship of the characters. He said, “With AbhiRa, when love happened we didn’t know each other well. We just fell in love and quickly got married. Now, the duo understands the reality and we are getting to know each other well”.
If you ask us, we are always rooting for AbhirRa! And as for Harshad’s take on marriage, we love that he was so honest and authentic.
