Is it already honeymoon time for you?! My God, we can actually feel your excitement! After all, it’s that one vacation that’ll always be so much more special than any other. How much we women look forward to it, right? But if there’s one common issue that bothers each one of us, it’s how to keep yourself hair-free throughout the stay.
How To Be Hair Free Through Out The Honeymoon?
Nothing more annoying than hairy legs when you lounge by the poolside in that bikini, right? Well, worry not, because here are some hair removal tips to solve the problem.
Time it right
Everyone has a different pattern of hair growth. For some of us, hair grows back within a week, while for others it might take longer. Schedule your waxing appointment based on your hair growth. Ideally, you must wax two days before leaving for the trip so you’re easily sorted for about the next 10 days. If you got yourself waxed for the wedding and don’t have enough growth, consider going for Rica or chocolate wax that removes even the tiniest of hairs.
Say goodbye to ingrown hair
Ingrown hair is hair that curls back into the skin and thus, even if you wax or shave, they don’t come out. To get rid of these, use an antibacterial soap and wash the area with lukewarm water. Next, use a good scrub to exfoliate your skin. A scrub helps in removing your dead skin and opening up the clogged pores which lead to ingrown hair.
Use a hair inhibitor
What is that, you ask? Well, hair inhibitors are creams or sprays that reduce hair growth and the thickness of new hair. Though they don’t entirely prevent hair growth, they make for good products to carry along when you’re traveling. We highly recommend Barever Natural Hair Inhibitor.
Waxing, shaving, or epilation?
A lot of women prefer to shave their underarms instead of waxing them. But when you’re looking for long-lasting results, a shave might not be ideal. Razors do not pull out hair from the roots, thus making them grow back quicker. Using an epilator or waxing may be the better choice if you’re looking to remain smooth and hairless through the honeymoon.
Exfoliation is a must
Scrubbing is essential to reduce your hair growth. If there is any area on your body that experiences quick hair growth, start using a scrub on it once every three days. You could even make your own scrub using two tablespoons of coffee and one tablespoon of baking soda. Add a little water and you’re done!
Wax strips to the rescue!
Wax strips are just so dependable. And the best part is that they are not messy and super easy to use. Make sure you carry a pack of wax strips along, just in case you spot a hair or two! We totally recommend Veet Waxing Kit that comes equipped with 20 wax strips!
Tweeze away!
Are you one of those who find it annoying to see even one hair out of place on your eyebrows? And imagine growing one on your upper lip during the honeymoon?! Just so you don’t land yourself in any such situation, pack along a tweezer in your beauty kit. Tweezers pull out hair from the roots but yes, they can be a little painful. Try the Bare Essentials Precision Tweezer.
Bikini wonders
If you’ve never got waxing done down there, it’s best not to try it for the first time just days before your honeymoon. If there is enough time for the wedding, start early so you’ve had a session or two done by the time it’s your honeymoon. Keep a ladies razor handy so you can just run it over in case you spot some hair during the vacation.
Got facial hair?
A lot of ladies use laser techniques to get rid of facial hair. Some get it waxed and others opt for bleaching. You need to figure out, well before the honeymoon, what suits your skin type best. The effects of bleaching last a minimum of 15 – 20 days, so you don’t have to worry about a thing!
Try the age-old remedy
Mix besan, turmeric, honey and water to make a paste. Apply it all over your legs and hand and let it dry. After about 20 minutes, moisten your hands and gently scrub your skin in a circular motion. Not only does it help get rid of thin and soft hair but it also gives you long term benefits of lesser hair growth.
