Hailey Bieber might have inspired in many a desire — a flaming, unquenchable desire — to douse their nails in a shade of milky-white — but this is different. Bieber’s red-head aspirations have left the glazed-donut nails era far, far behind — calling for an absolute evolution of our aesthetic this Halloween. The founder of Rhode has modelled some of the most un-Hailey-like beauty moments; putting to rest any claims about the uniformity of the model’s aesthetic. Rhode’s founder models a hot, fiery-red mane to signal the arrival of Halloween. A messy, no-effort bun billows around her like a blood-red sandstorm as she drapes some super-slick bangs around the sides of the head — some tenderly kissing the cheeks as others swivel down to the neck seductively. Wig or not — this is a welcome switch up from her super-slick, hair-down aesthetic.
Bieber drenches her lips in a similar shade of blazing red — she has layered on some of her coveted Peptide Lip Treatment to glaze the pout a little bit (see: last slide). Whispers of red assert themselves on the cheek too — announcing to the clean-girl aesthetic that pinks can’t always claim real estate on Bieber’s skin.
Pops of highlighter tease the cheekbones before receding to the inner corners of the eyes in all of their illuminating, show-stopping glory. A little bit trickles down to the bridge of the nose, and unravels all over the jawline and chin to further epitomise the star-studded ambitions of the aesthetic. A riot of rose reclines atop the lids — and some of it lends itself to the under-eye area as well. The look, all in all, is an ode to red — and it’s so deliciously pleasing.
Oh, and hey, we have inspo for the nails too. The model wears her red-lipped aesthetic in conjunction with an all-black, almond-shaped manicure — Halloween nails FTW. If you’re a bit of a minimalist, all you have to do is drench your lacquers in jet-black splashes, and you’re done.
The model had eased us into the month with a spooky-season carousel. While this aesthetic thrived on splashes of pink ricocheting off the skin in waves of minimalism, it did get the theme of the month going. Brushed-out brows, mascara-laden lashes, and a cascade of waves delivered the rest of the verdict gloriously. This one’s a pretty easy Halloween makeup look, no?
