What Is Hailey Bieber’s Foundation Hack?
In an interview, Hailey revealed that the best hack she has learnt is from celebrity MUA Pat McGrath who has also worked with the likes of Taylor Swift, Cardi B., Emily Ratajkowski, and more.
Hailey said, “One (hack) that I really love and I thought was so different than anything I’d ever seen before was Pat McGrath putting the foundation on the palm of her hands, and warming it up in her hands before applying it to the skin. That was just something that I’ve never seen before, and she is mother, so we listen to what she says.”
Does It Actually Work & How To Try It Out
It’s a good foundation application technique because it cuts down foundation application time in half and doesn’t require any makeup blending tools. Hailey especially loves this trick because it gives her a natural-looking base that doesn’t look cakey or excessive.
The whole point of this hack is to basically warm up the foundation in the palm of your hands so that it blends very easily and seamlessly into the skin. Once you warm up the foundation, pat your palms on your face to cover all areas, and then use your fingers to dab and blend the product into your skin. You can also go over it with a foundation brush if you like, towards the end, but it really isn’t necessary.
To get the best results, first apply a makeup primer before the foundation to create a smooth base that will grip the foundation well. I like to use the Type Beauty Matte Up Balancing Primer for this as it mattifies and makes my pores less prominent.
