Of all the wild things I’ve heard celebrities do to their skin, this by far takes the cake. Hailey Bieber swears by a face cream that is formulated with her own blood and I just can’t wrap my head around it.

Hailey Bieber’s Own Blood-Infused Face Cream
Hailey Biber’s face cream is formulated with her own blood and it’s been created by dermatologist Dr. Barbara Sturm. The celebrity dermat has her own successful luxury skincare products that are popular among her Hollywood clients. Hailey said in an interview, “I’m crazy about skincare. When I’m travelling, I’m always moisturising—I use all of Barbara Sturm’s products. I love that weird blood cream.” Mrs. Bieber added, “It is fascinating to me, and it works. I’m a nerd about the science of skincare and health, so for me, I’m like, ‘This is so cool!’”
Hailey said, “When I explain this to people, they think I sound insane. I use a range of products by Barbara Sturm. She took blood from my arm and put it into a machine that spins it and separates the plasma from your blood before putting it into a lotion for your skin.”
Hailey’s face cream containing her own blood is not available or recommended for anyone else to use aside from Hailey herself since it is custom-made. Only people who get their own blood infused in the cream by the doctor can use said cream.
This procedure involves extracting some blood from your arm, separating the plasma from the blood since that’s what has skin healing properties, and then finally mixing it with a shea-butter cream base.
Is It Worth The Money?
Dr. Sturm’s personalised blood cream made for Hailey costs a whopping $1,400 which is around Rs 1,14,000. Apparently, this platelet-rich plasma-infused face cream has anti-ageing benefits and acne-fighting properties. It can reduce inflammation and stimulate cell regeneration and healing. But is it worth the money?
The answer to this is a difficult ‘maybe’ and it is definitely not meant for people who are freaked out by applying their own blood on their face. But if you want to understand how Dr. Barbabra Sturm’s products work, you can try the Dr. Sturm Face Cream.
I’m not sure I would try this blood-infused face cream even if I could afford it, but I know that many people who’ve tried vampire facials and I know that blood infusion in skincare has mind-blowing results.
