7 Goth Makeup Trends That Will Have You Fall-Ready In 2022

Halloween may be over, but the spooky season commences thanks to the Fall 2022 trends being oh-so edgy and dark. We’re seeing a lot of goth makeup trends ruling the charts this season with everyone from Kylie Jenner to Bella Hadid rocking them like total baddies. The goth trend is back mainly since gothic beauty looks were heavily influential in the ’90s and early ’00s. And seeing as the ’90s and ’00s beauty trends have been all the rage all year long, it’s not surprising that goth makeup is taking over this Fall. If you’re keen on slaying like an edgy supermodel or fashionista this Fall, goth makeup trends are what you should be going in for. It’s what all the cool girls are doing this season. So, if you’re ready for them, here are our favourite goth makeup trends and ideas that you can take to town this season.

7 Goth Makeup Ideas To Look Trendy In Fall 2022

Skinny Line

Skinny eyeliner is the simplest gothic makeup trend that really makes a bold statement. The eyeliner application is so fine, it just makes your eyes look mysteriously alluring and upturned. Line both your upper and lower lash lines and clean up any mistakes with a concealer. Dab and eye gloss on the centre of your lids for more oomph and lift.

Maddy Mode

We all fell in love with Alexa Demie’s character Maddy in Euphoria S2. And this iconic makeup look is very goth glam. A black eyeshadow is applied to the crease of the lids to sculpt and then a bold metallic silver eyeshadow is blended across the lids. Bold winged eyeliner completes the eye makeup and maroon blush and matte contour elevates the complexion to ’90s cool. The maroon, overlined lip makes this makeup look all that.

Gothic Garden

Goth makeup isn’t always all black. This stark contrast of yellow and deep purple hues is a gothic colour combo that is vibrant with a dark side. It’s the equivalent of an au naturel makeup look in the gothic style spectrum and reminds us much of the horror film Midsommar. Blend a yellow eyeshadow on the inner halves of your lids and an orange eyeshadow in the crease of your lids. Wear two coats of mascara on your lashes, a red or purple blush on your cheeks, and bronzer, and then swipe on a vivid purple cream lipstick.

Ashy Gaze

This one’s the chicest goth makeup look that will never fail to impress. Dab a black eyeshadow on your lids and then swipe a gunmetal shimmer eyeshadow over it. Repeat the same beneath your lower lash lines as well. Apply eyeliner on your lash lines and make it bolder on the lower lash lines. Wear mascara and keep your complexion makeup rosy and matte.

Bloody Beautiful

Bow down to Janhvi Kapoor’s makeup this Halloween. Admittedly, it was part of a costume, but damn, does it work. That smokey cut crease eye makeup paired with an ombre oxblood lip is a match made in heaven (or shall we say hell?)

Night Sky

This twinkly smokey eye makeup look is goth and so pretty. The smokey black eyeshadow is blended on the lids and topped with a twinkly silver glitter. The lower lash lines feature soft kajal application and mascara completes the eye makeup. Contoured skin with a lip tint completes the entire makeup look.

Siren Smolder

This red and copper eyeshadow look spotted on Bella Hadid is giving major goth vibes but with a whole lotta vibrancy. The outer corners of her eyes feature smokey brown winged eyeliner and the lower lash lines feature metallic red kohl eyeliner. A pop of copper liquid eyeshadow on the lids makes this look reflective of light and oh-so stunning.
