Gauahar Khan has been keeping her Insta fam updated with her pregnancy journey. She has been posting chic maternity fits as well as fun reels with her husband, Zaid Darbar. Just recently, the actress gave us a glimpse of her baby shower followed by snippets from her maternity photoshoot!
Gauahar flaunted her baby bump in the pictures. Due to her personal preferences, Gauahar kept it all covered though. She captioned her post, “The most special shoot I did as a fully pregnant Gauahar !!!! I chose it with people I love!”
Soon enough, fans started commenting on the pics and some of them appreciated the actress for keeping it conservative. One of them wrote, “So happy to see a pregnancy photoshoot with a woman who has covered her baby bump and herself. Call me a prude, but flaunting a baby bump is something that I feel very uncomfortable about.”
However, Gauahar was in no mood to ignore this subtle attack on women who chose to show off their baby bumps. She took a stand for women and their choices and wrote, “To each their own dear!!!! I do what I’m comfortable with! And so should all women across the world! Shoutout to all women staying strong and individualistic through life! Lots of love.”
TBH, it’s sad how a woman’s body and pregnancy journey becomes a sensational topic of discussion on the internet. It takes great strength to grow and nurture a baby inside you. So what’s wrong with showing off and owning it?
Kudos to Gauahar for not taking the easy way out and accepting a “compliment” that was actually an insult to other women. Never change, Gauahar!
