If Karan Johar were to direct a Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum version of Bigg Boss 16 then the tagline would read—”It is all about loving Sajid Sir.” Since the beginning of the season, Sajid Khan played it safe by forming his mandli. This rebel alliance helped him to rule the show without running the risk of eviction most of the time. The Sajid Khan mandli included—Nimrit Ahluwalia, MC Stan, Sumbul Touqeer and Shiv Thakare, and now their ‘Sajid sir’ has jumped ship.
After a gruelling three months, Sajid’s journey came to an end recently, it was pretty heartbreaking to watch him leave. But as they say, ‘the show must go on’ and now let’s see what will happen to the rest of the mandli. Before the drama unfolds in the house, I wanted to add my two cents to the discussion about mandli. Here are the things I want to tell Nimrit, MC Stan and Sumbul and Shiv…
Stop With The Hate Nimrit
While most of the mandli members try to maintain a cordial relationship with the rest of the housemates, Nimrit has always missed the memo. Pretty much everyone has asked her to expand her horizon and look for substantial relationships outside her small bubble, including her dad. However, Nimrit has constantly disappointed us with her disinterest in growing as an individual in Bigg Boss. The moment, Sajid left and the mandli members hugged each other, Nimrit whispered, “In kutton ko dikha denge. (We’ll show these)” All I want to ask is—why are you being so vile towards people who had nothing to do with Sajid’s eviction? What was the fault of the non-mandli people? So, what’s up with the hate, Nimrit?
Sumbul, Find Yourself
I know Sumbul is the youngest player in the house and there is already too much pressure on these young shoulders. But Sumbul is yet to understand the game. So, far she has allowed her closest friends to bully her, manipulate her and gaslight her. I know it can be hard to find yourself when you are still in your teenage years. So, all I am asking from you is to realise your potential and step away from toxic relationships.
MC Stan Don’t Let The Fans Down
MC Stan is one of the most talked about players in the Bigg Boss universe. He has an almost cult-like following IRL and he can use it to his advantage. I am certain that if Stan applies even a bit of effort, he can be the winner of this season. The only thing the rapper lacks is the motivation to win the Bigg Boss trophy but who knows Sajid’s eviction might change things.
Shiv, Be The Leader I Know You Are
Out of all the members of the mandli, Shiv has been the most level-headed one. During Sajid’s reign, he happily played the No. 2, but now that the position of leader is open, will Shiv grab it? The Marathi star has all the potential to make it to the finals without a single hitch. But I am still uncertain if Shiv is ready to make that jump from the sidekick to the new leader of the group.
Only time will decide what all paths mandli members will take. But I hope they all grow stronger as individuals, not just as a group!
