The Fix My Curls Everyday Moisturizing Shampoo Makes My Hair So Glossy!
In This Article
If you’re a curly girl, you’ve probably heard of Fix My Curls before. I’m just here to tell you that everything they said is true and this is one of the most wonderful shampoos I’ve ever used. Here’s the tea.
What Is It?
The Everyday Moisturizing Shampoo is exactly what the name says – an everyday, moisturising shampoo for your curls. The main ingredients are mango butter, shea butter, and neroli oil which are all tremendously moisturising and lend a voluminous bounce to your hair. The packaging does say the product is paragon, silicone and sulphate-free.
A lot of my go-to shampoos strip my scalp of natural oils and leave it feeling super dry, which ends up leaving my hair in split ends. This was a good reprieve since the shampoo did a good job of getting rid of the excess oil on my scalp and my roots stayed hydrated. My curls haven’t been this bouncy in a long time so I was pretty impressed! They stayed bouncy for quite some time after and I didn’t even use a gel!
While it did a good job at cleaning my scalp, I still had to wash my hair on day two. That being said, this is a good product for a dry environment, but not something that works for oily scalps in humid weather. I’ve added it to my weekly routine but don’t recommend using just this, especially if you have a flaky scalp.
How To Use It
The website instructions state: Use this 1-2 times a week at most. Rake 3-4 pumps for medium-length hair, and adjust accordingly if longer, through your lengths, as well as your scalp.
I do have to use it at least thrice a week since it doesn’t make my scalp completely oil-free but for the price point, it does the job well and keeps my curls looking pretty fresh for the first two days at least. I follow it up with a conditioner and a mask.
What It Looks Like
Overall, I will recommend this to all my curly girlfriends since it does make me pretty happy to see how bouncy my curls are. It also especially works if you live in a dry atmosphere and you're just starting out on your curly hair journey. But if you do have dandruff and an itchy scalp, you'll be using more product than you're used to.
