The weekend is here, and it’s time to dive into some serious binge-watching. Usually, I’m all about rom-coms, horrors, and thrillers, but this time I’m mixing it up. As a fashion graduate, it’s almost criminal that I haven’t watched many fashion movies. So, I’m making a list of all the must-watch fashion flicks I need to see (or re-watch) to keep my fashion knowledge on point. So, let’s glam up the weekend with these amazing and glamorous movies revolving around fashion and style.
1. The Devil Wears Prada
If you haven’t seen this fashion cult classic, what are you even doing? Meryl Streep as the icy Miranda Priestly and Anne Hathaway as the naïve Andy Sachs give us serious fashion goals. Think sky-high stilettos, luxe handbags, and all the drama of working at a top fashion magazine.
2. Coco Before Chanel
This one’s a beautiful biopic about the legendary Coco Chanel. Audrey Tautou’s portrayal of the fashion icon is everything! It’s all about the humble beginnings of a woman who revolutionised women’s fashion. Spoiler alert: You’ll be inspired to embrace your inner Coco and opt for some timeless pieces.
3. Yves Saint Laurent
Prepare to be mesmerised by the glamorous life of one of fashion’s greatest designers. This film takes you through YSL’s career, his stunning creations, and his tumultuous personal life. Plus, the outfits are to die for!
