Netflix India hosted a networking party recently and some of the hottest B-Town celebs were in attendance. The red carpet calls for putting your best foot forward. So the question arises: did these celebrity guests bring their A-game on the fashion front or not?
I’ve done the judging and come to a verdict. Here are the fashion hits and misses of B-Town celebs at the Netflix Networking Party.
Sonakshi Sinha’s Red
The actress wore the colour red from head to toe. She opted for a striking red co-ord set and accessorised it with a red bag and gold jewellery. Even her eye makeup and nails matched her fit. Matching a bold-coloured outfit to your makeup and accessories is quite a fashion risk, but Sonakshi makes it look absolutely effortless.
The Verdict: A hot hit!
The True Brown Purple Textured Silk Overlay Jacket Blouse Pant Set is very similar to Sonakshi’s outfit and I’d totally wear it.
Rakulpreet Singh’s Glitzy LBD
My jaw dropped when I saw Rakulpreet in that LBD on the red carpet. Even though she played it safe in a sequined bodycon dress, the way she paired it with black heels and statement silver earrings looked absolutely glamm.
The Verdict: A hit.
Gauahar Khan’s Flowing Gown
The celeb is currently pregnant and she’s really milking that pregnancy glow for the paps. I loved her flowing floral gown that featured a deep V-neck and a high slit. The dress also makes her baby bump look so cute.
The Verdict: It’s a hit baby!
Kriti Sanon’s Teal Halter Neck Dress
The Shehzada actress turned up in a teal number and I have mixed feelings about. I love the colour on her but the fit and feel of the dress isn’t flattering. Even the diamond jewellery and nude heels couldn’t save the dress.
The Verdict: A miss.
The Aarke Ritu Kumar Teal Cut-Out Satin Midi Dress would have been a better choice in my opinion.
Karishma Tanna’s Animal Print Mini Dress
The actress went all out with a black and white tiger print mini dress. She accessorised with gold jewellery and strappy black sandals. Animal prints are classic but tricky to slay in. And in this case, Karishma’s bod is smokin’ hot but the print and outfit design didn’t really work.
The Verdict: A miss.
Sanya Malhotra’s Tasseled LBD
Sanya was another celeb at the event who chose to wear black from head to toe. Her halter neck dress accentuated her body just right but those tassels were a miss. Overall, I thought the dress was a bit dull and she could have added a touch of playfulness to her look to match her bubbly personality.
The Verdict: A miss.
Khushi Kapoor’s Knit Co-Ord Set
The debutante went for a casual chic red carpet look with a knitted beige co-ord set. She accessorised with a black handbag and strappy heels. Did she play it safe or was her outfit too cool for school? I like her look because it’s versatile and wearable.
The Verdict: A hit.
I found a close alternative to Khushi’s look and it’s this Split Skirt Two Piece Outfit.
Shibani Akhtar Oversized Ensemble
I can’t make up my mind when it comes to Shibani’s outfit. The star took the oversized fashion trend way too seriously. She wore a large powder blue blazer, leather corset, baggy leather pants, and an even baggy beige clutch. Oversized clothing may be trending right now but I’m not a fan of how the star incorporated the trend.
The Verdict: A miss.
Bhumi Pednekar’s OTT Black Outfit
Diving into couture, Bhumi’s black outfit looks like it’s meant to be high fashion but I’m not too sure if it was the right outfit choice for her. The black bralette layered with an embellished net vest looked great. It was her black skirt that featured a super large frill that I’m not a fan of.
The Verdict: A heart-breaking miss.
I’d rather wear the Urbanic Simplicity Cocktail Dress.
Huma Qureshi’s Power Suit
Power dressing seemed to be Huma Qureshi’s fashion statement on the red carpet but does her look really pack a punch? A white blouse and trousers pairing is classic yet those black shoulder pads on Huma’s top aren’t gaining any style points.
The Verdict: A miss.
Celebrity fashion is always exciting to judge. The Netflix Networking Party had a mix of fashion hits and misses by B-Town celebs but then again nearly every red-carpet event does.
