The shaadi season is back in Bollywood, and B-town is throbbing with band baaja and baarat! Madhu Mantena recently married yoga expert Ira Trivedi and held a wedding reception in Mumbai for their industry friends. The biggest names in Bollywood attended the event, and we saw some incredible fashion looks as well as a few that could’ve been better. Let’s take a look:

Genelia Deshmukh
Genelia Deshmukh is certainly living her fashion girl era, and damn, is she slaying! The actress was one of the best dressed at the wedding reception, and the Gen Z girls really need to take notes from her look. Genelia aced power dressing at the wedding, as she arrived in a velvet blazer teamed with matching trousers.
Patralekha
Patralekha just gives us more and more reasons to love her. The diva looked like a ray of sunshine in a bright yellow saree that she had accessorised so perfectly. Although the saree was plain, it came with a trendy halter-neck blouse, and Patralekha wore heavy gold jewellery to balance the simplicity of her outfit.
Saba Azad
Saba Azad gave us major lessons on how to ace minimal dressing at a wedding reception. She looked like the perfect Punjabi girl who is easily the life of any party in a baby pink salwar suit and a long braid. Also, we love her statement earrings and maangtikka. A hit, for sure!
Alaya F
You can never go wrong with a black saree at a wedding reception, and Alaya F’s look is proof. The starlet looked like eye candy in a minimalistic black saree adorned with sequin borders. She draped the saree over a rather risque blouse that was bound to make heads turn. The dainty choker further spruced up the look!
Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi Sinha literally made us stop and stare as she looked like a chic Bengali babe. The actress arrived in a gorgeous red satin-silk saree that was draped over the mini bralette blouse. While the saree could’ve been bland on its own, Sona spruced it up by wearing a sheer white dupatta as a cape. The stunning kundan choker and bangles are making us swoon!
Misses
Rakul Preet Singh
Rakul Preet has given us some really good fashion looks in the past; hence, we expected more. The actress arrived in a cape set that featured a bralette-style blouse, sequin black pants, and a long cape. Although capes have been quite a rage for weddings, we hope Rakul would’ve been open to a little more experimenting.
Sara Ali Khan
Sara Ali Khan tried to walk the minimalism path, but maybe she went too far. She wore a baby pink salwar suit that she styled with a stylish potli bag. TBH, the outfit would’ve made a great look otherwise, but it does not pass the reception vibe check. After all, Sara has much better looks in her promotional wardrobe. Maybe some heavy accessorising would’ve helped.
Kriti Kharbanda
Kriti Kharbanda arrived in a white sharara set that was adorned with chikankari work and featured a peplum-style top. While it was a great attempt at an indo-western look, the outfit seemed uninspired and something we’ve seen a thousand times already. Maybe a little edge could’ve worked in Kriti’s favour.
