Mumbai Police Arrests Two ‘Suspecting Terrorists’, They Turn Out To Be Actors From Hrithik Roshan’s Next Film

Mumbai Police arrested two men on Wednesday, May 29, on suspicion of them being terrorists. However, in a surprising turn of events, it was revealed that the individuals were, in fact, supporting actors of an upcoming Hrithik Roshan–Tiger Shroff film and were hence, dressed for the part. The police suspected the junior artists because they were wearing bulletproof vests. The case was handled with extra caution because the film’s shooting was taking place near Vasai creek, an area where numerous infringement cases have been reported in the past.

The situation escalated when Anil Mahajan, a bank watchman and former Border Security Force (BSF) soldier, informed the police about two suspicious looking men in the Palghar area. With the help of CCTV footage and the tip from the watchman, the police stopped the bus which the two men had boarded. It was later discovered that it was headed for a movie shoot and the suspects were extras in the film.

The two are a part of an untitled movie, helmed by filmmaker Siddharth Anand. The film will bring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff together onscreen for the first time and is set to release on October 2, 2019. Hrithik plays Tiger’s mentor in the film which the makers claim will be a ‘slick face-off thriller that is expected to be a visual spectacle’. Produced by Yash Raj Films, it also features Vaani Kapoor in a pivotal role.

After the investigation, the two men were identified as Balram Ginwala (23) and Arbaaz Khan (20). The film’s production unit had to produce authentic documents of the two artists to confirm that they were indeed a part of the movie.

Nonetheless, the police registered a case against them under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for creating mayhem and disrupting peace. Not just the two actors, but the movie’s production unit was also booked.

The security guard was felicitated by the police for his alertness and for being a responsible citizen.
