The iconic beauty brand, Elizabeth Arden has joined forces with women’s rights activist and Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon.
The brand has launched the March On campaign featuring a limited edition red lipstick in Red Door Red, signed by Reese Witherspoon. The lipstick will be sold globally and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to UN Women. In addition, another 1 million USD will be donated from Elizabeth Arden towards the same cause, to raise awareness for women’s issues around the world.
“There is real strength and camaraderie in March On and a feeling that we are in this together,” Witherspoon has said. She added, “by bringing UN Women, Elizabeth Arden, and women everywhere together we can help change women’s lives around the world for the better.”
Elizabeth Arden herself gave red lipsticks to the suffragettes marching down Fifth Avenue in 1912. At that time, wearing red lipstick wasn’t socially acceptable, which makes Elizabeth Arden an early advocate of women’s rights. Till date, red remains a symbol of women power.
The limited edition March On red lipstick is a powerful symbol of unity and advocacy. It invites women around the world to show their support for one another.
