The United States of America is one of the worst-affected countries by COVID-19. With over 7.31 million coronavirus cases in the US, President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump too tested positive this morning. Trump isn’t the only world leader to get coronavirus. In the past couple of months, United Kingdom Prime Minister, Boris Johnson along with Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro and even Prince Charles have tested positive for coronavirus.

Donald Trump took to Twitter to confirm the news.

An hour after Trump’s tweet, his wife, Melania Trump confirmed the same on Twitter.
As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.

The US President and First Lady will both be quarantined at home until they’ve fully recovered. According to Melania Trump’s tweet, all upcoming engagements have been postponed. This includes Trump’s Florida campaign trip as well. Judd Deere, Deputy Assistant to the US President, also took to Twitter to share the memorandum from the President’s physician.

God bless the president and the first lady. If you pray, please pray for their speedy and complete recovery — and for everyone infected, everywhere.
This virus is horrific and merciless — no one would wish its wrath on anyone.
We must get its spread under control. Enough.

Two days ago, Trump questioned whether masks worked. A few hours ago, he said we were nearing the end of the pandemic.

This is a nightmare.
COVID19 is a serious infection, especially for someone who is older like Mr. Trump.
I can't believe he was infected. This is a total failure by WH team to protect the President
Wishing both the President and The First Lady and speedy recovery. https://t.co/YVA2WpeNCu

A Covid-19 outbreak. In the west wing. President of the United States, 74, tests positive. 32 days before the election.
What an absolute nightmare scenario.

The president, who has long downplayed the threat of the coronavirus, avoided guidance on wearings masks and held rallies and campaign events at odds with CDC guidelines, has now contracted the virus. https://t.co/8m9SFZHGhH

Considering Donald Trump is 74 years old, his case falls under high risk and here’s wishing the couple a speedy recovery.
