What You Need

  • Lavender essential oil
  • Chamomile essential oil
  • Coconut oil
  • Jojoba oil
  • Almond oil

How To Use It

  1. Heat two tablespoons each of coconut oil, jojoba oil, and almond oil over a stove or in the microwave for 30 seconds.
  2. Take the oils off the heat and stir in 15 drops of lavender essential oil and 10 drops of chamomile essential oil.
  3. Massage this oil on your feet, calves, knees, belly, and on your chest, decolletage, and neck.
  4. Add some oil to your temples as well and you will instantly feel relaxed enough to sleep.

For Aching Muscles

You can mimic the effects of pain-relief balms by concocting a DIY massage oil for Aching Muscles using peppermint essential oil alongside other ingredients. This oil will do all the work for you and you won’t even have to put in much elbow grease to massage the pain away.

What You Need

  • Peppermint essential oil
  • Rosemary essential oil
  • Eucalyptus oil
  • Olive oil
  • Coconut oil

How To Use It

  1. Mix a tablespoon of olive oil, coconut oil, and eucalyptus oil in a bowl.
  2. Stir in 10 drops each of peppermint essential oil and rosemary essential oil.
  3. Adjust the amount of carrier oil if you need it to be thicker by adding in more olive oil or coconut oil.
  4. Massage this directly on aching muscles and let it do its magic. You will feel a tingly sensation which means it’s working.
  5. You can even heat the carrier oils before adding the essential oils and then massage yourself with it for a heated massage session that relieves pain.

  • Mustard oil (Rai ka tel)
  • Coconut oil
  • Frankincense essential oil
  • Cinnamon essential oil
  • Geranium essential oil

How To Use It

  1. Heat two tablespoons each of coconut oil and mustard oil in the microwave for 30 seconds.
  2. Take the bowl containing the oils out and stir in 10 drops of frankincense essential oil, 10 drops of cinnamon essential oil, and 5 drops of geranium essential oil.
  3. Add more mustard oil if required to keep the mixture thick.
  4. Massage this all over your body, wherever you feel pain.
  5. Cover the joints with a warm towel for extra benefits in cold weather.
