Step 2: Turn the heat on low.

Step 3: Once the water becomes hot and bubbles pop up, add all the herbs to it.

Note: If you don’t have any of these herbs at home, you can also use essential oils or herbal teabags to do the facial.

Step 4: Stir the ingredients for 2 minutes.

Step 5: Turn off the heat after 5 minutes and allow the mix to cool for a minute.

Step 6: Now, carefully lean over the bowl and cover your hair and face with a towel to direct the steam to your pores.

Step 7: Inhale and take in the steam for 4-6 minutes.

Step 8: Pat your face dry using a towel and apply a moisturiser after.

Avoid placing your face too close to the steam as the heat can burn your skin. When taking steam, you must stay 12-14 inches away from the bowl. Another tip to keep in mind is to always wash your face before a steam facial. This tip will prevent any dirt and makeup residue from clogging your pores as soon as they open up. And finally, along with herbs, you can also add a few drops of essential oil to make the fragrance stronger.

Wasn’t this DIY herbal steam facial recipe super easy to do? And the best part: It takes just 10-15 minutes to get you fresh, glowing skin.
