The rose water in this mask also helps keep skin lightly moisturised with the ideal pH levels intact.

What You Need

  • Bentonite clay powder
  • Rose water

How To Use It

  1. Take a tablespoon of bentonite clay and add it to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add a few drops of rose water and start mixing until you get a thick paste.
  3. Apply this paste evenly on your face after cleansing and let it dry up. This should take about 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Wash the face pack off with water and pat skin dry. Make sure to tone and moisturise after the face pack.

Cool & Calm: Cucumber & Aloe Vera

In the summer no skin type is safe from acne, even normal and dry skin. That’s why this cooling and moisturising cucumber and aloe vera infused face pack is a must-have. Aloe vera is the best ingredient to treat acne prone skin and keep oily skin in check while cucumber is super soothing and lightly moisturising. What You Need

  • Cucumber
  • Aloe Vera

How To Use It

  1. Take half a cucumber. Peel and dice it.
  2. Scrape the gel from an aloe vera leaf or use one tablespoon aloe gel from a jar.
  3. Add both these ingredients to a blender and blend to form a paste.
  4. Stir in some more aloe vera gel to thicken the paste and then apply it on your face.
  5. Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes and then rinse it off with water.

DIY face pack for acne prone skin

This face pack is truly amazing. It not only calms and clears up acne but it also removes tan and controls excess sebum production while keeping skin soft and nourished. It has loads of Vitamin C that helps with pigmentation and dark spots as well.

What You Need

  • Tomato
  • Sandalwood powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Lemon juice

How To Use It

  1. Blend one tomato to extract the pulp.
  2. Add the pulp to a mixing bowl and squeeze one half of lemon juice into it.
  3. Add a tablespoon of sandalwood powder and mix to form a paste. Add more sandalwood powder to achieve a thicker liquid consistency.
  4. Add a pinch of turmeric and mix well.
  5. Apply the mixture to your face and let it dry for about 20 minutes. 
  6. Rinse with water and then apply toner and moisturiser.

Both neem and mint are a boon for acne prone skin. This face pack has the ability to cool and disinfect skin and visibly minimise the appearance of pimples. It has amazing antibacterial properties that will banish acne causing bacteria effectively.

What You Need

  • Neem leaves
  • Mint leaves
  • Honey
  • Fuller’s earth/ Multani Mitti

How To Use It

  1. Take a handful of mint leaves and neem leaves and grind them to a paste.
  2. Mix in one tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of fuller’s earth to the neem and mint paste.
  3. Add more fuller’s earth if required to adjust the consistency of the paste.
  4. Apply to your skin and let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Wet your hands and massage in circular motions and then rinse the pack off with water.
