TBH, mask acne can be downright frustrating. But masks are the need of the hour so we’ll just have to find a way around the maskne, won’t we?

No matter the weather, a mask can lead to a toasty situation for your skin which leads to sweating and oil build-up which in turn causes cystic acne and white pustules. So, to save our skin from damage, we are listing down the best DIYs to get rid of these pesky breakouts.

Home Remedies To Get Rid Of Maskne

Avocado DIY

All you need is:

  • Avocado
  • Raw honey

Method: 

Step 1: Mash one ripe avocado using a fork or a blender until smooth and then mix in 1 tablespoon of honey.

Step 2: Mix the ingredients thoroughly, and apply as a spot treatment or to larger acne-prone areas. Leave on for 5–10 minutes before rinsing it off.

All you need is:

  • Honey
  • Turmeric

Method:

Step 1: In a bowl, mix together 1/2 teaspoon turmeric along with 1 tablespoon of honey.

Step 2: Apply it on your zits, leave it on for 10-15 mins before rinsing it off with cold water.

The One With 3 Powerful Ingredient

All you need is:

  • Aspirin
  • Nutmeg
  • Plain yogurt

Method:

Step 1: In a bowl, add one crushed aspirin along with ¼ teaspoons of nutmeg.

Step 2: Then, add one tablespoon of yogurt. Mix the ingredients together to make a paste and gently dab it on the zits, Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Tea Tree Oil To The Rescue

All you need is:

  • Tea tree oil
  • Bentonite Clay

Method:

Step 1: In a bowl, add 1 tablespoon of bentonite clay. Dilute your clay with 1 teaspoon of honey.

Step 2: Then, add 1 to 2 drops of tea tree oil into your clay mask. Mix the ingredients well and apply it over the affected areas. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes before gently washing it off.

All you need is:

  • Aloe vera
  • Green tea bags
  • Turmeric

Method:

Step 1: Steep green tea in boiling water for 3–4 minutes. Allow the tea to cool.

Step 2: In a bowl, add 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed aloe vera gel along with 1 teaspoon of organic turmeric powder. Then add a few drops of green tea water to the mix, make sure the consistency isn’t too runny. Apply this paste on your face, leave it on for 15-20 minutes before washing it off with water.

Pro Tip: Skip the face makeup while wearing a mask and make sure you keep your face squeaky clean by washing it off with a germ-killing face wash. Why? because dirt and impurities clogged in your pores are basically a one-way ticket to breakouts.
