They symbolise the union of two souls in love, a celebration of commitment, and the beginning of a new chapter filled with promise and joy. But what’s even more exciting than the wedding? The pictures! As the wedding season begins, model, actor, and stylist Diva Dhawan, who allegedly dated Aditya Roy Kapur in 2018, finally found her happily ever after! She tied the knot with her beau, Ronak Sheth, in the city of New York. Their wedding was nothing short of magical—an ethereal blend of love and style that has left an imprint on our hearts.
The couple met and fell in love in New York City, and hence, they decided to exchange vows in the Big Apple. She took to her Instagram handle and gave glimpses of her stunning Hindu wedding. The dulha arrived in a boat for his baraat, and he walked the mandap with their French bulldog. Both the bride and groom looked gorgeous as they complemented each other in orange and white.
Diva gave us major Kudmayi vibes as she stunned in an orange-coloured lehenga designed by Abhinav Mishra. The lehenga was adorned in mirrorwork and glistened under the New York sun. However, the sheen of the ensemble was nothing compared to Diva’s bridal glow. The bride completed her shaadi look with stacks of diamond necklaces, a red chooda, and a matha patti. She carried dual dupattas; one was pinned to her shoulder, and the other she carried as a veil.
Talking about her outfit, Diva shared, “I’ve resonated with his (Abhinav Mishra’s) work ever since. Abhinav has only recently started his couture line, and this is one of very first bridal lehengas.” The groom, on the other hand, looked dapper in a cream Anita Dongre sherwani. Diva added, “Ronak and I had fun throughout our wedding. We weren’t influenced by other weddings, or what’s expected at one. We wanted to stick to traditions important to us and our families but create our own traditions with modern elements true to us. My biggest piece of advice would be to bring in your personalities into the events, and create intimate moments for you and your guests.”
Haldi Look
For the haldi ceremony, Diva opted for a Ritu Kumar lehenga featuring a mustard skirt and embellished blouse.
Reception Look
After the wedding, Diva changed into an emerald green gown for her reception, which she teamed with emerald jewellery.
