Ever since television’s most-loved couple, Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim announced their pregnancy, their journey has become a part of their fans and followers’ lives. The actress, who was due in the second or third week of July, prematurely delivered a baby boy on June 21. Since then, their little bundle of joy has been in the NICU, and Dipika and Shoaib are eagerly waiting to take their son home.
In their vlogs, they have been sharing updates on how he was improving with each passing day and talked about how it still saddens them to watch him covered in tubes. Now, as per the latest vlog, things have drastically changed!
Dipika gave us an update on her son’s health whom she dearly refers to as “Chotu”. She shared that Chotu is recovering pretty quickly and also mentioned how much she enjoys watching Shoaib and Chotu bond. She said, “I feel so happy to see Chotu and see him bonding with Shoaib. Gradually his health is improving, we can see his face clearly now.” The couple also revealed that Dipika has to stay in the hospital in order to nurse the baby since the hospital is quite far from their home.
Dipika & Shoaib’s First Eid As Parents!
Further in the vlog, Shoaib performed his sehri with Dipika and their family in the hospital before heading for a shoot. The new parents then went to the NICU to meet their son and wish him his first Eid. Just when we thought things couldn’t get any cuter, Shoaib gave his wife the cutest Eidi! He gifted her a set of nose pins that Dipika was ordering the night her water broke.
Dipika was overjoyed when she saw the gift and joked, “We should frame these nose pins as they hold an extremely special moment in our lives.” Shoaib also mentioned that Dipika doesn’t need to give him anything this year since she gave him the biggest Eidi – their son!
We’re so glad to learn that Chotu is doing so much better and we can’t wait to catch a glimpse of him. Until then, more power to the super parents, Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim!
