Ever since they confessed their love for each other in the Bigg Boss 15 house, the lovebirds have been giving us major #couplegoals. From attending events in their stylish avatars to unlocking professional achievements, Karan and Teja have been on a roll of late. A few months ago, reports of the couple buying a lavish house in Dubai together started doing rounds we well and Tejasswi just opened up about the same.
In a recent conversation with a media house, Tejasswi got candid and cleared the air about the Dubai house. The actress revealed she solely made the purchase with her hard-earned money. She also shed light on the patriarchal mindset of the masses, who assumed that such a lavish purchase would only be possible with the help of a man.
Sharing her disappointment while talking about the same, Teja said, “Mujhe yaad hai ki I bought a house and there was news about, ‘Oh Karan and Teja just bought a house together’. And I was like, do you even know who I am or how long I’ve been working for this? It was offensive. I honestly didn’t want to say anything, and then ultimately Karan ended up saying that this is something she has bought with her money.”
IMHO, it’s high time we start acknowledging that women are capable of creating a beautiful life on their own.
When Tejasswi Talked About The Power Of Financial Independence
Tejasswi has always been vocal about the importance of financial independence for women. During a recent media interaction, Teja revealed why she thinks dependency on men for financial advice is stupid for her. She explained, “I think a girl should be independent enough. Tomorrow, never call somebody else for financial help and if ever she decides to leave, she should not go back to a different dependent house but to her own place. I want to go to a place which is mine. As a woman, as a mother, as a wife, as a sister you should have that independence because then that’s about self respect, ki agar apni koi cheez bardash na ho sake, to apne logo ko uss situation se leke bahar nikal jao.”
