This year is proving to be quite an eventful one for Dia Mirza. Earlier in February, the actress tied the knot with her businessman beau, Vaibhav Rekhi in a surprise ceremony during Valentine’s week (talk about all things romantic!). Soon after that, the couple made a happy announcement and told us that they were expecting their first child together. Just last week, Dia shared how their little bundle of joy, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi arrived earlier than expected and has filled their lives with a lot of happiness and light.
From a wife to a mother, the actress seems to have explored a lot of roles in 2021. And being a bestie to her step-daughter Samaira is a part of that list. Dia’s husband, Vaibhav, has a daughter from his first marriage with Sunaina Rekhi and she has been spending a lot of time with her stepmom lately. Samaira also accompanied Dia and Vaibhav to their Maldives vacation after the wedding. In fact, just yesterday, Dia posted a reel of her and Samaira dancing to the Instagram famous song Iko Iko. Their camaraderie is pretty apparent in the video. In fact, Dia has referred to Samaira as her “bestie” in the caption, which speaks alot about the warm relationship that the two of them share. The two are also seen twinning in their distressed jeans and fresh white T-shirts. Well, that does sound like something that two besties would do, right?
Dia had also mentioned Samaira in Avyaan’s birth announcement last week. “Do not have enough words to thank all those who continue to help us live this story of hope and faith and create a safe, healing, nurturing space for Avyaan and I. He will be home soon and his elder sister Samaira and grandparents are waiting to hold him in their arms,” she wrote.
Clearly, Samaira has become a huge part of the actress’s world since her wedding. All we gotta say is “touchwood” ‘coz we hope that it stays this way forever! Well, here’s a shoutout to the newest besties in B-Town!
