The most interesting thing about the blog is it’s variety and it’s focus on living it up – whether it’s through food, fashion or fabulous beauty ideas. And what we really love about Devina is the energy which she personally brings to this online space she calls her own. She even has her own youtube channel brimming with budget fashion and beauty videos that will make sure you tuck in with your coffee and her blog all day long. This month, as Devina joins our esteemed panel of bloggers at the POPxo Blog Network, we quiz the young and vivacious lady on her likes and dislikes and everything in between.
What sparked your interest in fashion/beauty/street style?
I loved playing dressing up as a teenager, but I guess it was my first internship during college with a leading media house that opened the doorway to the fashion industry. I remember covering a fashion show as a media intern when I had an Andy Sachs moment from “The Devil Wears Prada”—I was like, ‘Qutore-couture week?’ and since then, there has been no looking back.
What is your first fashion memory?
Being an army kid, my first fashion memory was when I saw my mother dress up for military ball parties in the most gorgeous sarees she owned. I still remember every time she dressed up, she looked like a dream.
What is your personal style statement?
My style ranges depending on my mood, so it can be anything from chic to modern, bohemian or rocker. I incorporate personal items from my closet that range in price and try to find inspiration everywhere!
What made you take up blogging?
Writing is the ultimate creative outlet for me! I enjoy telling stories from my point of view and capturing the reader’s interest all at once. With a blog in place, I decided to create an online magazine that could document topics like bridal trends, fashion for curvy women, DIY beauty tips, Bollywood gossips, celeb fashion all under one place. I was also fascinated with the idea of reaching out to readers beyond regional boundaries.
What would you like to tell all aspiring bloggers?
Consistency and great content is the key to a successful blog.
