When it comes to Bollywood stars, even the most bizarre rumour about them can go viral and cause massive controversy. Recently, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone fell victim to such a situation and the reports of their alleged separation flooded social media. While there was no truth to the rumour, a few netizens started cooking up stories in no time.
Deepika recently spoke about her relationship with Ranveer on Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle’s podcast, called Archetypes, and gave him the sweetest shoutout. During the podcast, the Piku star and Meghan spoke at length about the importance of mental health and how their husbands (Ranveer and Prince Harry) supported their journeys.
During their chat, Deepika talked about her battle with depression and how people accused her of lying about it.”There were a bunch of people who felt that either I was doing this to promote a movie or they thought that I was being paid by a pharmaceutical company. And there were articles. They thought I was being paid by a pharmaceutical company and you know that I’m now going to start advertising for some sort of medication,” shared DP.
The Chhapak actress also spoke about how talking to Ranveer helped her to heal and move forward in life. While Deepika didn’t talk about the divorce rumours, she did share how excited she is to see her hubby. “My husband was at a music festival for a week and he’s just come back. So, he’s gonna be happy to see my face.”
A while ago, Ranveer also shut down the reports of their separation at a recent media event. “Touchwood…We met and started dating in 2012… so 2022 is 10 years for me and Deepika. I have nothing but the utmost respect for her and I admire her a lot. I have learnt a lot from her in my personal life too,” he shared.
