Ever since we can remember, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been the perfect role model for young girls. Smart, graceful, compassionate, and an absolutely dedicated and hardworking actress, it always seems like she can do no wrong. Apart from her fame and popularity in the film industry, Deepika is known to be a humble and down-to-earth human being – traits of her personality that she attributes to her dad. From doing commercials together to Deepika penning a heartfelt letter to her dad at award shows, the father-daughter duo has warmed our hearts and how!
Which is exactly why it really was no surprise when the doting daughter posted an invitation by the Badminton Association of India, inviting the Padukone family to the award ceremony in Delhi, conferring the Lifetime Achievement Award to Prakash Padukone.

Deepika and sister Anisha were spotted at the Mumbai Airport on Monday afternoon, twinning in white tees, jackets, and sneakers, having a cute sibling moment before their flight to Delhi.
As she watched her dad being honoured with the Badminton Association of India’s first Lifetime Achievement Award by Vice President, Venkaiah Naidu, Deepika took pictures and couldn’t help but get a tad emotional at her father’s award ceremony.

Badminton champion P.V Sindhu was also in attendance at the ceremony and she looked delighted to meet the Padukones (particularly smitten by Deepika), as she took pictures with them.
Clad in a beautiful peach sari by Sabyasachi, Deepika was all smiles through the ceremony and looked proud as punch of papa Padukone’s achievement as she posed with family for pictures.
