Ever since actress Debina Bonnerjee announced that she was expecting her first baby with Gurmeet Choudhary, our Insta feeds have been blessed with adorable pictures. From chilling in the pool to enjoying a dinner date with her hubby—the Ramayan actress has been flaunting her baby bump on social media and quite stylishly so! Yesterday, Debina shared pictures from her godh bharai yesterday and we cannot stop staring at them.
For the intimate baby shower, Debina wore a stunning red and white Anarkali from Monk & Mei. She styled her look with a gold choker, earrings and statement bangles. The mother-to-be had a glow on her face that no makeup could recreate. She captioned her picture, “Saadh or desire in English. The desire for food of a pregnant woman is celebrated by the maternal side ( here my mother) by cooking all food the woman loves ..“Baby shower “ in western country and godh bharayi” in north India saadh in Bengali. I didn’t particularly crave for anything during the whole journey .. so all things my mother could think of she cooked. Wanted to keep it private and entirely up to myself as I already feel a company 🤰 Sending you all wishes 😇 #debinasdiary #journey #saadh #godhbharai.” Have a look at the snaps here:
Doesn’t she look absolutely stunning? For the unversed, Debina and Gurmeet tied the knot in 2011. The two met on the sets of Ramayan and fell in love.
TBH, we absolutely love how candid the actress has been throughout her pregnancy. Recently, she opened up about the challenges she’s facing in her third trimester. She said, “Standing in the 3rd trimester … with a swollen feet … many toilet runs… constipated… leaking bouts with sneezes and cough or even a hearty laugh… reminds me that I am pregnant… reminds me that this is real. … after so many years of no.. it is finally a YES.” She also mentioned that after the initial excitement, she has been feeling anxious for the baby. “Each milestone each appointment bringing in new worries, Is my beta HCG Hi enough?, Is it increasing at the desired rate?, Is there a heartbeat at the next ultrasound?, Is the baby growing correctly? I am forever grateful for this blessing. The anxiety the fear cannot overshadow my gratefulness,” she explained.
We’re sure every mom-to-be experiences the same. Here’s hoping their li’l bundle of joy arrives soon, as we can’t wait to meet the baby already!
