We have witnessed some interesting characters in the Bigg Boss 16 house. Whether it’s Archana Gautam‘s muhfat nature, MC Stan‘s moodiness, or Shalin Bhanot‘s gullibility, all of the contestants have shown varying sides of their personalities. However, there is one contestant whose personality I am yet to decipher. I am, of course, talking about Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia. So far, I’ve seen her double standards, insecurities, and pseudo-feminism but I am yet to see her good side. To make things worse, Nimrit hit an all-time low after Sajid’s eviction last night.
Sajid Khan left the Bigg Boss 16 house in last night’s episode due to work commitments. This was a heartbreaking moment for the mandli and I totally understand Shiv Thakare, MC Stan, Sumbul Touqeer, and Nimrit’s emotional reactions. In fact, Sajid’s sudden exit left the entire house shook. Not just the mandli member but every single person in the house looked sad. Nimrit, however, managed to turn this into something vicious against her arch-enemy, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary.
The Choti Sarrdaarni actress had the audacity to say that Sajid’s exit made Priyanka happy because the mandli finally lost some members. Well, Nimrit should be the last to say this, especially after she planned Ankit Gupta’s entire eviction with her group and even celebrated after he was evicted. What are these absurd double standards? She even hugged the mandli and said, “Inn kutton ki vaat laga denge,” and I appreciated how Shiv and Stan said there was no need for that. I mean, what even did the rest of the housemates do? Wasn’t it Sajid’s decision to leave the house? Why were you acting like Priyanka and Shalin plotted Sajid’s eviction, Nimrit?

Nimrit also judged Priyanka for talking to Soundarya Sharma last night since the two haven’t been on good terms. She accused Priyanka of doing so since the nominations are close. The most frustrating part? It is actually Nimrit who has been loitering around the house lately. She is the one who is trying to talk to Shalin and Tina, the same people she vowed to never speak to again. Talk about double standards!

While I appreciate that Nimrit and Priyanka have maintained their animosity from the beginning, Nimrit’s insecurity with the Udaariyan actress is tiresome to watch. She always finds a way to blame Priyanka and is constantly paranoid that she is plotting schemes against her. And somehow her “feminism” gets thrown out the window every time she has to badmouth Priyanka. Then again, what can I say when she won’t even listen to her own father on the topic?
With less than a month until the finale, Nimrit must stop playing the game in the shadow of others. More importantly, she should stop trying to bring other women down. Nimrit, it’s time to pull up your socks!
