Madhuri Dixit’s Green Lehenga From Devdas

When it comes to creating magic and splendour on screen, Sanjay Leela Bhansali never disappoints. One such iconic moment was Madhuri Dixit’s Maar Daala dance in Devdas, featuring a glamourous green lehenga that became the talk of the town. You’d be stunned to know that the mesmerizing outfit was later auctioned and the final bid was a whopping Rs 3 crore!

Priyanka Chopra’s Heels & Bvlgari Neckpiece

With an impeccable style and exquisite fashion choices, PCJ has been an inspiration for all desi fashionistas. It’s only understandable when people are willing to shell out a fortune for the products worn by her. Back in the day, PC’s pink Christian Louboutin heels worn by her in the music video, Exotic were auctioned for a hefty Rs 2.5 lakh. She later donated the amount to UNICEF. The other piece was her Bulgari Laguna Blu Diamond necklace worn at MET Gala, which was initially priced at Rs 204 crore. However, its auction value is still unknown.

Kareena Kapoor’s Saree From Heroine

It’s been a decade since Kareena Kapoor set the big screen on fire with her performance in Halkat Jawaani and we still can’t get over it! Apart from her sexy moves, what turned heads was the neon pink Manish Malhotra saree she flaunted in the song. Well, it was later auctioned for a charitable purpose. However, the amount it was auctioned for has not been made public.

Anushka Sharma & Ranbir Kapoor’s Costumes From Bombay Velvet

From ancient costumes to vintage backdrops, Anurag Kashyap recreated the 1960s era for Anushka and Ranbir starrer Bombay Velvet. Since the attires belonged to that period, they were intricately designed and collectively weighed about 25,000 kg. The makers of the film then decided to auction some of the costumes and donate the proceeds to charity. About 1,200 to 1,500 of Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma’s costumes were auctioned online. The proceeds were donated to Nepal flood victims.

Akshay Kumar’s Pant Suit From Oh My God

Akshay Kumar’s role of God in the movie Oh My God received massive appreciation. Remember when he wore a classic pant-suit in one of the iconic scenes? Well, the actor decided to auction it for charity and sold it for Rs 15 lakh. Sharing the cause, Akshay revealed, “The proceeds of this will go to Muktangan, who currently needs ₹ 15 lakh to cover 60 percent of one of their pre-primary school’s annual budget for the academic year 2012-2013. Come join me, spread the word and let’s ‘Fund the Change.” 

Salman Khan’s Towel From Mujhse Shaadi Karogi

If you’re as much of a Bollywood buff as we are, you might be a fan of Salman Khan’s iconic shirtless towel dance in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi that won hearts. Well, the towel used during the shoot was auctioned on eBay for Rs 1,42,000. The money was then donated to the NGO ‘Sneha’ (Society for Nutrition, Education, and Health Action.)

Shammi Kapoor’s Jacket From Junglee

At the same auction where Aamir Khan’s bat from Lagaan was sold, the actor made a sweet purchase for himself too. The Taare Zameen Par actor bought the jacket worn by Shammi Kapoor in Junglee for Rs 88,000! While sharing his happiness about the purchase during a media interaction, Aamir said, “When I heard that Shammi uncle’s jacket was being auctioned, I was very keen to try and get it. And I am so happy that Kiran and I were lucky enough to get it.”
