NGL, we were hella excited to hear that Hera Pheri 3 has been confirmed! If this wasn’t enough to keep us happy, producer Firoz Nadiadwala just gave us more good news about the upcoming flick.
Speaking to a media portal, Firoz confirmed that the third sequel will not only be bigger and better but also retain the original cast. That’s right! The infamous trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal will return to the big screen to leave the audience in splits!
“You’ll get to see it very soon with the same star cast – Akshay ji, Paresh bhai and Suniel ji. The story is in place, and we are working on certain modalities. It’ll be made in the same way, retaining the innocence of the characters. We can’t take past achievements for granted. So, we have to be extra careful in terms of our content, story, screenplay, characters, mannerism, etc,” he said.
While we can’t wait to witness the magic of this totally amazing cast, we’re also a tad bit concerned. With a barrage of disappointing Bollywood sequels, we hope our soon-to-be-favorite Hera Pheri 3 doesn’t join the bandwagon. As ardent fans of this comedy franchise, we have some advice for the makers and we hope they are listening!
Retain The Hilarious Chemistry Between Raju, Shyam and Baburao
We can all admit that there is no Hera Pheri without these iconic characters who never fail to entertain us. Their ridiculous banter, the impromptu song, dance scenes, and of course, their emotional bond has always kept the audience hooked. While we’re really glad that our trio is back, we hope that the writers don’t mess with their rapport!
New Meme-Worthy Dialogues
Even after two decades, many can still remember the classic lines from the movie that seem to age only like fine wine. Some were so good that they became viral memes and are part of out everyday lingo! Like who could ever forget “Utha re le Baba…Utha le… Mere ko nahi re…In dono ko utha le…”? And, “Inke haath mein sone ka katora dedo phir bhi ye bheek maangenge”? We’re sure many of these phrases from the previous parts will go down in the Hall of Fame of dialogues. And hence, our expectations for the sequel to have legendary lines are high AF!
Pay Attention To The Supporting Cast
While the main cast was the franchise’s USP, we cannot take away from the remarkable supporting cast and their invaluable addition to the movie. So full marks to characters like Pappu played by Rajpal Yadav and Kachra Seth hilariously portrayed by Manoj Joshi who made us love the movie even more. And now we’re looking forward to new additions to the third part.
Don’t Ruin Baburao Ganpatrao Apte’s Character
Please, oh please don’t ruin Baburao for us! Many of the 90s and ’00s kids grew up to this riot of character and we don’t know if we can ever get over his greatness! Incredibly enacted by Paresh Rawal, Baburao is everything, including hilarious, innocent, simple-minded, and a man with a heart of gold. While we want him to come back once again and be his iconic self, we’re just crossing our fingers that the writers let Babu Bhaiya be Babu Bhaiya!
Keep The Relatable Plotline
Besides the confusion and comedy of errors, one thing that made the movie a masterpiece was its relatable story. It reflects the tale of every Indian household, where there are fights, but then again, there is also a lot of love for each other. The movie also highlights the struggles of the middle class and TBH, don’t we all relate to that? While we’re sure the new movie will be entirely fresh in terms of storyline, we want the directors to ensure it can still be entertaining while having a relatable story.
We just dropped some serious truth bombs there, didn’t we? Now, all we can do is hope that the writers are taking notes!
