These days weddings are filled with dhoom dhaam and shor sharaba. Somehow in the whole chaos of having grand weddings with five functions, we’ve all forgotten that at the end of the day a shaadi is just a celebration of two people very much in love and willing to spend the rest of their lives together.
To give us a dose of nostalgia, here comes bride Tisha Saksena who wanted her bridal portraits to be like the ones that were clicked in the 1900s. The yesteryear charm and the bride’s beauty reflected so beautifully through the lens that we’re totally going gaga.
She dolled up in a red lehenga for her wedding day, a statement nath and a hundred-year-old paasa. Yes, can you imagine? Don’t old heirlooms just have a special place in your heart?
Her outfit also had traditional embroidery with gold zari work and she chose to wear a layered necklace along with it. She wore a gold and pearl choker necklace and emerald haar. As for the choodas she wore minimal red ones with a thick, gold kada. In fact, her lehenga was designed by her own label TISHA.
Her makeup was done by the superb Jasmeet Kapani and boy, did she do a fabulous job. She went for a flawless base with bronzed cheekbone and a brownish-red lipstick.
Marrying the love of her life Shaan Ray, these two looked like they came straight out of one of those kings and queens fairytale books. The groom dressed up in a white sherwani with a tiny gold print running across the fabric. He even tied a pink and red saafa on his head to match with his beautiful bride.
Don’t these two look regal? We’re completely in awe.
For her mehendi function, Tisha chose to look brighter than sunshine in a yellow lehenga with colourful embroidery all over. She paired it with floral jewellery. Shaan wore a cream kurta-pyjama along with a beige and pink Nehru jacket.
For another ghar ka function, Tisha wore an all-pink sharara set with detailed mukaish and chikan work all over it. Shaan also stuck to the chikan theme and wore a grey kurta pyjama. Love the colour blocking both of them have done here!
A special standing ovation goes to ArtFoto Studios for bringing Tisha’s wants to life. The bridal photos are stunning and we love them so much.
We’re sending heaps of pyaar to Tisha and Shaan, your wedding looked like a fun-filled affair and we hope the years ahead are like that too.
