8 Bridal Beauty Lessons To Learn From Arpita Mehta

Dewy Skin Will Always Be In

Dewy skin has been ruling the beauty world for quite some time and will continue to hog the beauty spotlight. For her Mehendi ceremony, Arpita opted for a glazed-donut skin. Her skin looked glassy and super hydrated. Slippery almost! She paired her glistening complexion with draped blush, another major beauty trend. A blush can take your complexion from lackluster to luminous in seconds, which makes it an important addition to your bridal beauty stash. To get that sweet glow like Arpita, we recommend using a cream-based formula. She used eyeshadow to line her upper and lower lash line to give her lashes a fuller look. A nude pout and a pair of falsies took her beauty look to extraordinary status. Clean skin, maximal lashes, and flushed cheeks were the star of this makeup look.

Kohl-Laden Eyes Make Heads Turn

If you want to spice things up and keep your guest guessing at every wedding nuptial, follow Arpita Mehta’s lead. The designer’s cocktail eye makeup look featured thick, arched rimming of kohl with a touch of smoke. The eyes were further enhanced with eyeliner and kajal on the waterline for a look that’s sure to break the internet. She completed her look with dewy skin, cherub cheeks, and a glossy pout. And while we wax poetic about her bomb makeup look, her mermaid waves took it to the next level. It perfectly complemented her black sequinned saree.

Bold Eye + Glossy Lip = Bomb Makeup Look

Someone call the fire brigade ‘coz Arpita’s makeup look is hot af. A bold eye and glossy lip are a match made in beauty heaven. It’s giving glamm and the look proves that Arpita isn’t afraid to go all out when the occasion demands it. Her to-die-for eye makeup is one for the IT-girl books. If you’re getting married, this is the perf makeup look to try for your cocktail party. A beauty look like this one is guaranteed to rake in the compliments. If you plan to opt for a smokey eye like Mehta, it’s best to pair it with a nude pout to tie everything together.

Milk-Bath Manicure

Great minds think alike. All our fave girl crushes – from Alia Bhatt to Jennifer Lopez and Nicola Peltz Beckham – opted for a subdued manicure for their wedding and Mehta was no exception. Arpita Mehta proves that milk-bath nails are a timeless bridal manicure. Her nails featured petal-pink ’90s French tip with milk-bath overlay – a perfect addition to the classic makeup and hair she wore for all her wedding festivities. Ditching the sparkly embellishment, glitters, or punchy red polish – the bride opted for a chic manicure that is bound to turn heads.

Nude Glamm For A Day Wedding

Rather than opting for an overdone makeup base, Arpita chose to go for a light base with a glowy foundation that let her natural complexion shine through. It looked absolutely stunning. Arpita showed the girlies what nude glamm is actually supposed to look like. The combo of brushed-up brows, classic eyeliner, and nude mauve pout is all our beauty dreams wrapped into one. For your wedding day, you don’t wanna be stressed about what your lipstick gonna look like. So it’s best to pick a lipstick shade that you love and are compatible with. Her makeup artist revealed that she used a concoction of M.A.C Whirl lip liner and Nars Le Freak lipstick. She topped it off with Pat Mac Grath lip shine in shade Nude Venus to create that scroll-stopping pout.

Ditch The Bun For A Flowy Centre-Parted Blowout

Whether it is Alia Bhatt, Patralekha Paul, or Arpita Mehta – the contemporary brides have been ditching the traditional updo and gravitating toward a center-parted blowout. The hairdo not only looks really modern and chic but it also helps give off a more effortless vibe. To take her hair game up a notch, the designer framed her with a pretty maang tikka. We’re totes in love with her flowing, blown-out tresses. If you have short hair, using hair extensions will do the trick.

Minimal Mehendi Design

The choice of Mehendi is incredibly personal for an array of brides. Arpita Mehta’s minimalist mehendi design is proof that you can tailor it as per your style aesthetic. Although the tradition of henna application dates back to centuries, it’s okay to mix it up and follow the tradition in your own way, like the bride.

Less Is More

From Arpita’s dainty kaleeras to her nails, and Mehendi everything was toned down for the big day. Rather than opting for heavy false lashes, the designer opted for a natural-looking flutter. Arpita ditched the heavy smoky eye which Indian brides often love to sport for minimal kohl-rimmed eyes. There was also no room for a heavy, cakey makeup base. Instead, the bride opted for a natural-looking complexion by applying just a little foundation and concealer to balance things out. A wash of subtle eyeshadow, brushed-up brows, and classic eyeliner complemented her nude mauve pout.
