Brahmastra is one of the most anticipated movies of 2021 and there are no two ways about it. In 2019, we witnessed a larger-than-life logo reveal that used hundreds of drones to light up the sky (quite literally). Moreover, the movie boasts of a stellar star cast and a B-town jodi that we have been dying to watch on-screen. No guesses there, we are talking about our fave Bollywood couple- Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. But wait, that’s not it. Ayan Mukerji’s upcoming trilogy will also feature Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. NGL, we’re super hyped about this one!
Needless to say, fans have been patiently waiting for the movie to release since 2020, but as it appears, it’s going to be a while before that happens. However, Mouni, in a recent interview with a leading daily said that it is definitely going to be worth the wait.
While talking about the release date, Mouni said, “We have all waited for a very long time and it is just few more days, months I guess. It’s a film that will be best enjoyed as a theatre release so I sure that Ayan Mukerji and Karan sir and the entire team is waiting for the right time to kind of release it.”
The Gold actress further added that she truly enjoyed working with her co-stars Alia and Ranbir. While talking about their sizzling chemistry, she said, “Both of them are fire on-screen and loving human beings so I consider myself to be very lucky to be a part of the film. Amitabh Bachchan sir, Nagarjuna sir and Shah Rukh Khan sir are a part of the film so it can’t get bigger than the cast that Brahmastra has.”

Mouni also dropped some clues about her character and it might come across as a shocker for her fans that she is playing an antagonist in the movie. OMG, to watch the OG Naagin actress don a vamp’s hat on the big screen is truly going to be something, right? “I am an outright evil person in the film,” she said.
Recently, Alia also shared a picture on her ‘Gram where she could be seen with Ayan and Ranbir on the set of Brahmastra. She wrote in the caption, “It’s a blessing to be on this journey.. & these magical boys just make everything 🔥🔥🔥♥️♥️♥️ P.S – this is jussssttt the beginning 💫💫💫”
Seriously, cannot wait for the movie to release already!
