Deepika To Sonam: Bollywood’s Best Beauty Moments At The Cannes Film Festival

The 76th Cannes Film Festival is just about to begin and it’s safe to say I’m excited. Celebs like Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are regulars at this grand annual film festival, although this year even Anushka Sharma and Manushi Chillar are set to make their debut.

With one of the most romanticised locations and a memo to bring your glamm on, Bollywood never disappoints at Cannes. I’ve already gotten nostalgic while anticipating this year’s turn-up, and so I’ve compiled some of my favourite Bollywood beauty moments at Cannes over the years.

Priyanka Chopra Kept It Classy

Priyanka‘s graphic eyeliner paired with bronzed skin and rosy lips to go with her glitzy gown was just spectacular from Cannes in 2019.

I’m attempting to do my eyeliner like Priyanka with the help of the Manish Malhotra Precision Liquid Felt Tip Eyeliner – Black Diamond.

Priyanka served the most gorgeous looks consecutively at Cannes 2019 and this highlighted look with slicked-back hair is my all-time favourite.

To get the most impactful glowy effect from makeup, the La Mior Glass Skin Flawless Filter is a great choice.

Deepika Padukone Raised The Temperature

Deepika at the Cannes Film Festival 2022 was such a vibe. She had multiple stunning beauty look but the way she matched her lipstick to her dress here is a look that lives in my head rent-free. She even had a stylised braided ponytail that really took this look to the next level.

The POPxo Makeup Collection Mini Lip Kit – Left On Red kit has the perfect shade of reds for every Indian skin tone.

Who can forget Deepika in a Sabyasachi saree with the boldest eye makeup ever? Julia Fox started the trend and DP truly made it her own with this look.

For pigmented eyeshadow like hers, the POPxo Makeup Collection 4 Eyeshadow Kit – Drama Queen is an affordable choice.

Sonam Kapoor’s Experimental Streak

Sonam Kapoor’s beauty game is as vibrant and experimental as her outfits. This monochrome-toned look with a metallic rose and orange eyeshadow with a fuchsia lipstick gave off sunset vibes at the French riviera. So romantic!

The Huda Beauty Wild Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette – Chameleon has all the shades to recreate that eye makeup look.

Sonam also played with a pop of lemony colour at Cannes 2017 and it was so refreshing. She applied yellow eyeshadow only at the inner corners of her eyes to match her sunshine-hued dress.

Get your fix of yellow from the POPxo Makeup Collection 4 Eyeshadow Kit – Hot Mess.

Kangana Ranaut Emulated Bold Glamour

Kangana served this striking look at Cannes 2019 and it has ever since been on my moodboard. She paired a sleek and sexy top knot with glitzy blue eyeliner and the look is still unmatched.

The Amag Beauty ‘Blip’ Keep It Kohl! – 702 Starry Blue is the perfect shade to recreate this bold blue liner.

Switching it up for a edgy wet look, Kangana paired smokey eyes with a nude lip gloss and gelled her hair back to look like she just stepped off the runway.

An eyeliner that doesn’t smudge or budge is the MyGlamm LIT Glossy Liquid Eyeliner – Black Party.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – Reigning Queen Of The Red Carpet

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has had many head-turning moments at the Cannes red carpet but this metallic makeup look is my fave. She flaunted a shimmery eyeshadow, dewy glowing skin, and a pearlescent peach lipstick that gave off mermaid vibes.

For skin as glowy as Aishwarya’s the Defi PHAT (Pretty, Hued & Tempting) Face Palette is perfect.

This smokey silver eye makeup with a light pink lippy made Aishwarya look like a total glamazon at Cannes 2019. It is also one of those beauty looks that will stand the test of time since she pulled it off flawlessly!

For that bold silver colour payoff, the Lakme Absolute Explore Eye Pencil – Alluring Silver is a great pick.

I can’t wait to see the looks my favourite stars put forth this year at the Cannes Film Festival!
