6 Times Paps Crossed The Line With Bollywood Celebrities

Being a celebrity doesn’t just mean earning loads of money and living a luxurious lifestyle. There’s also a downside to it– like being chased by hordes of paparazzi all the time. Clearly, their fame comes at a cost. Alia Bhatt became the most recent victim of an intrusive pap attack.

Alia Bhatt Vs Paps

Alia probably never says ‘no’ to a picture. But recently, the actress’ privacy was invaded by the paps in a shocking manner. Alia took to the ‘Gram to share a collage of two pictures clicked by the photographers.

She wrote, “I was at my house, having a perfectly normal afternoon, sitting in my living room when I felt something watching over me. I looked up and saw two men on the terrace of the neighbouring building with a camera right at me. In what world is this okay and is this allowed? This is a gross invasion of someone’s privacy. There’s a line that you must not cross, and it is safe to say that all lines were crossed today”

Instantly, Bollywood stars like Arjun Kapoor,Anushka Sharma,Karan Johar, Swara Bhasker came out in support and condemned the incident. This isn’t the first time when the paps took it too far. Scroll down to see all the times paps took their cameras too close for comfort:

When Baby Vamika’s Pictures Were Leaked

Twitter

When Vamika was born, Anushka and Virat asked the paps for privacy. For a while, it appeared everyone got the memo, but it didn’t last long. The moment Vamika was spotted in public, multiple pap pages posted her picture. It was a real low for the paps! Only after #Virushka’s intervention, the pictures were taken down.

When Paps Couldn’t Stop Bothering Jaya Bachchan

Time and again, veteran actress Jaya Bachchan has made it clear that she doesn’t like photographers invading her privacy. Unfortunately, not everyone gets it! On one occasion, Jaya lashed out at photographers for pestering her. She said, “Please don’t take my pictures. You don’t understand English?” Later, she also said, “Aise logo ko naukri se nikal dena chahiye (Such people should be fired from their jobs).”

When Taapsee Had A Showdown With Paps

Last year, Taapsee Pannu was on her way to an event but the shutterbugs kept asking her for pictures. When Taapsee denied, photographers started screaming at her and clicking her pics without her consent. The actress got rightfully furious and said, “Yaar daant kyun rahe ho? Isme meri kya galti hai? Mereko kyun sunaa rahe ho? (Why are you yelling at me? What is my fault in this)? Mujhe jo bola gaya main kar rahi hoon, aap mere pe kyu chilla rahe ho? (I am doing what I have been asked to do, why are you shouting at me).”

When Virat Kohli’s Hotel Room Video Went Viral

Instagram

If you think invasion of privacy is just limited to pictures, you are wrong! Last year, a video from Virat Kohli’s hotel room went viral on ‘Gram. The cricketer was staying at Crown Perth in Australia when hotel staff made a video of his room. Various pap pages shared the same visual while media houses called them out for the invasion of Virat’s privacy. This incident sent shock waves all over the country and Virat shared his outrage on social media.

When Little Taimur Had To Say Stop

Taimur Ali Khan is one of the most photographed kids in India. More often than not parents Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor don’t mind posing for paps. But once things got so out of control that even Tim Tim had to ask photographers to stop.

The viciousness of this ‘pap culture’ is clearly invading celebrities’ personal boundaries. Kudos to stars like Alia for raising their voice.
