But at times, our ladies have drawn outfit inspiration from their Hollywood counterparts. I mean, when a designer makes a great dress, a lot of A-listers might want to wear it and that’s okay.

Purely coincidental or copied, here are 9 times Bollywood and Hollywood divas wore the same outfit.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan & Kristin Chenoweth

After a series of misses at Cannes 2014, Aishwarya Rai stunned the world in a golden Roberto Cavalli gown. However, it was American TV actress, Kristin Chenoweth who wore the gown first to the Oscars. While Kristin went with the monotone look, Aish added a pop of colour with red lips.

2. Alia Bhatt & JLo

Back in 2013, I had a solid deja vu moment when I saw Alia Bhatt in a Dior silk coral dress. She wore it to Vogue Beauty Awards and looked adorable. But before her, it was American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez who wore the dress to unveil her star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

3. Kareena Kapoor & Kim Kardashian

The Kardashians have been influencing the world with their fashion choices. For her book launch in 2013, Kareena wore a Tom Ford sheath dress with an oversized metal belt. This was after Kim Kardashian wore it in 2012 at an event. Kim decided to go with a wet hair look, smokey eyes, and black stilettos. Kareena went with sleek side-parted hair, black pumps and a red pout to add some colour.

4. Disha Patani & Gigi Hadid

For the 62nd Filmfare Awards in 2017, Disha wore a black cutout dress by Nicolas Jebran. She totally slayed that night but had to face the wrath of trolls. A year before, Gigi Hadid wore the same outfit at the American Music Awards. Both the looks were quite similar and stunning, to say the least.

5. Disha Patani & Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid has been dominating Disha’s style for quite some time. For IIFA Awards 2017, Disha wore a beaded ivory gown from Falguni Shane Peacock. Interestingly, it looked heavily inspired from Bella Hadid’s Ralph Russo outfit that she wore to the amfAR Gala months ago. From the embellishment to the colour and detailing, everything looked similar.

From attending Paris Fashion Week to unveiling the trophy at the FIFA World Cup, Deepika is unstoppable. But sometimes even top fashionistas need some inspiration. For the premiere of Bigg Boss 10, Deepika wore a Balmain x H&M gold embellished dress. A year before, in 2015, Kylie Jenner wore the same outfit at an event in New York. Both styled their outfits with black thigh-high boots.

7. Kangana Ranaut & Emma Stone

In May 2013, Kangana Ranaut was spotted wearing a sequined green skirt and blue bustier top from Burberry at the WIFT event. Emma Stone, on the other hand, was spotted in the same outfit way before her. While Kangana added red lipstick and a bun, Emma went with nude lipstick and open tresses.

Priyanka Chopra is absolutely killing it in Hollywood with her fierce personality. Though PC is now ruling the world with her fashionable fits, there was a time when she looked up to Hollywood too. It was the exact same outfit that Naomie Harris wore for a red carpet event, months before her.

For the Filmfare Awards 2012, Deepika wore a gold body-hugging gown by Gaurav Gupta. The dress featured metallic dusting on one side and sheer detailing on the other. A month earlier, Lady Victoria Hervey was spotted in a different shade of the same gown at the Golden Globe Awards. Both opted for side-swept hair to complete their look.
