Stay Strong Bollywood! These Celebs Tested Positive For COVID-19 Recently & We Wish Them A Speedy Recovery

Last year, around this time, people all over the country were doing their bit to win the war against COVID-19. We got fully vaccinated and took all the needed precautions to put an end to the pandemic. Things finally got better as we entered the second half of 2021 and we were truly grateful.

But, the emergence of the new Omicron variant of coronavirus by the end of the year reminded us that the pandemic is still not over. The World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has warned that the highly-mutated variant can impose a severe global risk. The new strain can easily infect fully vaccinated people and it is quite a critical time for our country. The number of COVID-19 cases in the nation is rising at an alarming rate ATM and the virus has affected several Bollywood celebs already.

Kareena Kapoor and her BFF, Amrita Arora, recently got diagnosed with coronavirus despite being fully vaccinated. Sadly, COVID-19 is spreading in the entertainment industry like wildfire and it’s a clear sign that if we don’t take the situation seriously, things can become disastrous real soon. Here are the B-town stars who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 recently:

Ekta Kapoor

Ekta Kapoor tested positive for COVID-19 and she announced the same on her social media handle today. She wrote, “Despite taking all precautions, I have tested covid positive. I am fine and I request everyone who has come in contact with me to please test themselves.”

Nora Fatehi

Nora Fatehi revealed on January 30 that she has contracted the virus and that it has hit her severely. She wrote, “Hey guys, unfortunately, I am currently battling Covid… It has honestly hit me real hard! I’ve been bedridden for a few days now under doctor supervision.” She requested her fans to stay safe, wear masks and take care of their health. She added, “Please stay safe guys, wear your masks, it’s spreading fast and can affect everyone differently! Unfortunately, I have reacted badly to it, this could happen to anyone please be careful! I am working on recovering at the moment that’s all that matters right now. Nothing is more important than your health! Take care, stay safe.”

Alaya F

Alaya F announced that she had tested positive for COVID-19 but was asymptomatic. She self-isolated herself and has thankfully, tested negative now. She shared an Instagram story and wrote, “Hi Everyone! I had tested positive for Covid a week ago, I had no symptoms and nobody around me had any symptoms…I tested again on the 30th of December and that report turned out to be negative. I continued to quarantine and to confirm this, I did another test on the 1st of January. As of today, I have now tested negative twice.”

John Abraham

John Abraham and his wife, Priya Abraham, have contracted the virus after coming in contact with an infected person. The actor penned down a note on his Instagram handle and wrote, “I came in contact 3 days ago with someone who I later learned had COVID. Priya and I have tested positive for COVID.” The couple is currently in quarantine and is experiencing mild symptoms.

Seema Khan & Maheep Kapoor

The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives stars Maheep Kapoor and Seema tested positive for COVID-19 in December last year. “Yes, she is Covid positive with mild symptoms and she has self-isolated,” the former’s husband, Sanjay Kapoor, said during a media interaction.

Recently, it was announced that most of the crew members of Deepika Padukone and Sidhant Chaturvedi’s upcoming movie, Gehraiyaan, have tested positive as well.

We hope for a speedy recovery for all of them and request everyone to mask up and take all necessary precautions to stay safe and healthy. The pandemic is still not over and this is the time when we need to take things way more seriously than ever.
