Back in 1975, Mexican actress María Félix ordered Cartier to make a customized alligator necklace to showcase her love for her pet baby crocodile. While one crocodile is made out of 18-karat yellow gold and has more than 1,000 brilliant-cut fancy intense yellow diamonds, the other one is sculpted in 18-karat white gold and has 1,060 emeralds of 66.86 carats. Maria wore the exquisite adornment for years before it became a legacy. It now retails for a hefty 200 crores!
