I truly believe that B-Town is trying to usher in a beauty era that’s not exclusive to minimalism. The Netflix Networking Event proved that to me. A-listers didn’t just come, they served. Bold, poppy eyeshadow was a common plus-one. Voluminous blow-outs and intense nail colours were also hot picks.
Here are all the big beauty trends that I spotted at the event.
They Winged The Eyes
Both Sonakshi and Bhumi said no to minimalism. The B-Town divas winged their look (literally) with cat-eye flicks on either lid. Sinha one-upped Pednekar with a fiery-red eyeshadow that matched Netflix’ colour-palette.
Buns Enjoyed A Main Character Moment
Patralekha and Kriti swept their hair back into statement-making buns. While the former opted for a slick-back bun, Kriti went in with a high, messy ‘do and face-framing strands. The Shehzada actress has attempted this look before too.
Side Parts Were Made Cool Again
Gauhar Khan and Karishma Tanna styled their hair with deep side-parts. Tanna’s do was voluminous while Khan’s was slick and sleek. Middle parts didn’t stand a chance.
Dark, Edgy Nail Colours Made Their Debut
We’ve been seeing black and red nail colours all over B-Town recently. At the event, Sona painted her nails a blood-red shade while Karishma chose a dark, edgy black instead. Both matched their nails to the colour of their eyes.
I think we’re quickly transitioning from quiet and lowkey to loud and chaotic. I can’t say I don’t like it.
