The runway saw bold and beautiful beauty looks that are high on that X factor and ready to wear IRL. From goth lids to bold lips, the trend forecast is looking edgy and editorial with a touch of realism. While some shows displayed a few styles that are too artistic for everyday affairs, we had our eyes set on a few gems that stood out and called for attention. Check out our list of experimentally wearable hair and makeup looks from the MFW runway that you need to make note of right away.
Bright neon eye pigments were Capasa Milano’s beauty direction to complement the brand’s structured and striking outfit designs. Each model had a single or multiple hues of bright colours on their eyes and this inner corner neon detailed one is our favourite. The bright yellow pigment spikes out to make a cool statement.
Gucci brought forth the most stunning eye makeup look that we can’t help but be mesmerised by. Foiled lids were the statement-making beauty trend of MFW that we can easily transition to our festive glam makeup arsenal.
Another round of beauty inspo served by Gucci was making blue lips a head-turning trend on the runway. The bold lip looks scintillating with the sophisticated outfit designs and don’t miss the blingy chain attachments worked into the manicure designs.
Pink lids with the other corners flanked in smokey black wings and rhinestones, the Emporio Armani models were all about that chic rock aesthetic. We are definitely saving this makeup look for our next party.
Blue eyeshadow and bouncy blowouts reigned the Kim Shui catwalk and it’s a big nod to the nineties beauty era. Even the glossy lip detail takes back.
Blue everything is what designer Christian Siriano envisioned for his models and the way the hue was used was beyond stunning. Centre parts were bejewelled with blue stones which made for a blingy sleek hairstyle and the makeup featured vivid blue lids with bold winged liner.
The Christian Cowan show saw blush extended from the cheeks all the way up to the temples while glossy smokey liner dressed the eyes to make an impact. Skin texture was also brought to the forefront.
Julia Fox headlined the LaQuan Smith show and the theme was sleek and sexy. Her eye makeup featured a graphic cut-crease with red floating liner, shimmery bronze lids and a sharp cat-eye. The hair was super shiny and snatched in a neat glossy bun.
The Hardware LDN show was entirely goth themed with amazing jet black hairstyles that had a rocker chic vibe. For the makeup, the models sported mustard yellow with kohl lash lines and rosy lips. The colour play from light to dark just makes it so ultra-mod.
These beauty trends offer us new ways to jazz up our style. Which of them are you going to experiment with?
