Most of us got to know about Gal Gadot when she took the world by storm in the movie Wonder Woman. But she’s more than just an actor. A model, basketball player and a combat instructor for Israel Defense Forces, is there anything this gal can’t do?
And now she has become the brand ambassador of beauty brand, Revlon.
The new face of Revlon was recently seen looking effortlessly beautiful on her Instagram.
Representing a campaign called ‘Live Boldly,’ Gadot seemed to be excited about working with a brand she’d worn ever since she was little. In her interview with a leading website, she said, “Revlon is an iconic and ground-breaking brand. I think it is the first cosmetics brand that I was exposed to. My mom and my grandmother used to have their products. So I was very, very excited.”
On the brand, she said, “I’ve been familiar with them since I can remember myself wearing make-up. They love women, they celebrate women and they’re very accessible.”
5 Beauty Lessons You Can Learn From Gal Gadot
Here are a few lessons we can all learn from this 32-year old wonder.
1. Don’t shy away from RED.
The campaign isn’t the first time we’ve seen Gal wear a red lipstick. Confessing it’s her go-to, she even wore a deeper shade of red, almost a marsala recently to Golden Globe Awards 2018. I recommend Guerlain Rouge G in Garconne (Rs 3,317) or Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Love That Red Rs 487.
2. Embrace The Natural Texture Of Your Hair (And Then Play With It).
Gal’s natural texture steers towards the curlier side of the scale. But we’ve barely seen her straighten it. She keeps it real on days she doesn’t feel like styling it and isn’t afraid to go big either! We like L’Oreal Paris EverCurl Hydracharge Leave-In Cream (Rs 1,480) and Wella Professionals EIMI Extra Volume Strong Hold Volumizing Mousse (Rs 675).
3. A Subtle Contour Can Go A Long Way.
The contour craze seems to be getting bigger and more experimentative by the day. But don’t forget the power of a good contour game: it can sculpt your face. Use a cream or a powder-based highlighter like Benefit Cosmetics Watt’s Up Cream Highlighter (Rs 2,520) or Makeup Forever Sculpting Fit (Rs 1,850) on your cheeks, forehead and jawline.
4. Make Your Own Version Of Natural Make-Up.
Sure, bold make-up is good on some days, but natural looks work so much better in the day. Remember, there are no rules to make-up. My version of natural make-up is a concealer with mascara and a pink lipstick. Gal’s is a medium pink hue, lined brows and light smokey eyes. You can try Clinique High Impact Lip Colour (Rs 1,650) and Sephora Easy Smokey Eye in Mystic Brown (Rs 1,100).
5. Don’t Be Afraid To Take It All Off.
There are days when you love make-up and there are days when you don’t. Wonderwoman has them, too. So bare it all, and don’t judge yourself. Love all your imperfections just as much as your most liked features.
