A stunning bride, a dapper groom and a love story that spans over 7 years… this Delhi winter wedding is oh-so-beautiful!
Smiti and Vishal’s journey started at an event managment company. Smiti was doing her internship and Vishal happened to be her reporting manager. They lived close to each other and every day after work Vishal would offer her a ride back home. “He was always trying to find ways to drop me home and I would happily agree to spend some more time with him,” gushes the bride. 7 years later, on 17th Feb, 2016, they tied the knot! “Everything after our first meeting feels like history and blurry with magical pixie dust!” shares Smiti.
The Engagement
We love the bride’s subtle white and green lehenga. So pretty! Also, such great work with the jewellery. From the statement maangtika to the layered emerald and kundan necklaces and the gorgeous earrings… it’s all just so stunning.
The V&S logo was conceptualised by the groom himself and was a part of the entire wedding – from the ‘Save The Date’ to the wedding invites and as a decor element at the wedding venue. Such an awesome way to personalize your wedding!
The engagement and wedding took place at Mapple Exotica, New Delhi.
The Wedding
Dressed in a traditional red lehenga from Gyans, the bride looks absolutely ravishing. Makeup for both the ceremonies was done by Leena Rathore Asija. “I simply LOVED Leena’s work. It was flawless and impeccable,” shares Smiti.
The entire function was planned by the bride’s sister and brother-in-law. “They did not leave any stone unturned to make it the most memorable day of our lives,” shares Smiti.
Vishal surprised Smiti with dholwallahs just outside the wedding venue. “He knows I love the dhol and while I wanted the traditional bridal entry on ‘Din Shagna Da’, I also really wanted to dance on dhol beats on my wedding day,” gushes Smiti. The bride danced her heart out just outside the venue and this was later followed by the traditional entry. So much fun!
The wedding was shot by FlashWave Studios. The couple were more than happy to share just how awesome and super fun the team was!
