COVID or no COVID–all brides want to make their big day as memorable as possible. And why not? Your shaadi is one of the most important days of your life. As we’ve all been witnessing that the weddings in the COVID era have all been about coming up with out-of-the-box ideas–be it planning a virtual shaadi or organising a ceremony with all safety precautions in place. And here we are, with yet another bride, who had the most unique wedding photoshoot. Bangladeshi cricketer Sanjida Islam recently tied the knot with Mim Mosaddeak, who plays first class cricket from Rangpur, and left everyone stumped with her idea of the photoshoot.
In the pictures that she shared on her Instagram handle, the 24-year-old Sanjida can be seen clad in a saree while holding a bat in a cricket field. Yep, you read that right! The new bride can be seen playing a cover drive in the photos, giving all cricket lovers some major goals for their shaadi photoshoots. Wearing a strikingly orange saree and floral jewellery, Sanjida looked absolutely radiant. Checkout the pictures!
Well yes, happy brides are indeed the prettiest! Also, we can’t help but notice that bright flush of colour on her cheeks! Here’s a product that we will give you a similar look.
Soon after her post, the photos went massively viral. The International Cricket Council shared Sanjida’s pictures on their Twitter handle and wrote, “Wedding photoshoots for cricketers be like.”
Netizens, too, couldn’t stop appreciating her unique idea and shared her photos on Twitter while congratulating the newly married couple.
Sanjida made her international debut against Ireland in August 2012 in a T20 International game. She was a part of the Bangladesh team when they won their first ever Women’s Asia Cup title back in June 2018. In the eight years of her career, the batswoman has played 16 One-Day Internationals and 54 T20Is.
Coming back to her wedding, we wish the couple a very happy married life.
