Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood right now and there are no two ways about it. Whether it’s a crime-thriller like Andhadhun or a comedy-drama like Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, he has tried every film genre and aced it. Before making his debut in B-town with Vicky Donor, Ayushmann won the reality show, MTV Roadies, and also worked as a video jockey. The multi-talented actor has spent quite a long time in the entertainment industry. While talking about it to a leading daily, he spilled some secrets about showbiz that totes surprised us.
Ayushmann revealed that he used to interview popular Bollywood celebs early in his career and some of them were quite rude to him. Interestingly, he met with these stars after becoming an actor himself, but they didn’t remember those awkward interactions.
While talking about those actors, Ayushmann refused to reveal names and said, “Naam thodi bataunga (I will obviously not take their names)! It’s just that when you interview people, your A-game should be out there. Like if you are asking me questions, I should be interested in questions and also give you answers which make sense, and it’s interactive and engages the audience. Most of the actors…they don’t care…sometimes. Maybe that time they didn’t.”
He also shared that he’s glad that those celebs didn’t remember these interviews as it would have been awkward. “They didn’t remember. Because if your films are releasing, you have 20 interviews lined up, they don’t remember. I am glad they don’t, it would have been embarrassing for them.”
In another interview, Ayushmann revealed that he also used to write and share movie reviews and they were quite harsh at times. But thankfully, he never worked with the actors he criticised. He said, “I probably haven’t worked with the people I reviewed. Because the kind of films I have done, the actors were new, and I have never worked with stars. Otherwise, there were exceptional actors I’ve worked with who weren’t in my reviews. These actors probably didn’t even see my review because I was just a VJ.”
While we’re really surprised with the beans Ayushmann has spilled, we wish he reveals some names next time.
