Athiya Shetty’s Bridal Glow Wasn’t Just Genetic & I Have Proof

Athiya Shetty’s Bridal Glow Wasn’t Just Genetic & I Have Proof

12 minutes is all anyone needs to achieve Athiya Shetty-level skin and glamm. The newlywed actress shared her go-to beauty routine, and it’s so relatable. I’ll be honest, I find comfort in the fact that Athiya’s bridal glow wasn’t purely genetic. And she’s just as skincare-obsessed as I am!

Here’s everything I picked up from the actress’ routine (makeup included).

She Begins With Toner

Athiya starts off with the Sephora Ultra Glow Toner, which hydrates her skin without feeling greasy. This toner is enriched with Vitamins C and E that fight pigmentation and spots to brighten and smooth over the skin. It also eases the winter-to-summer transition and so is the dullness that comes with it. Since it’s unscented, it doesn’t cause irritation either.

An Anti-Ageing Serum Comes Next

She goes on to layer the anti-ageing Lancôme Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Serum onto her face. This product is her go-to when her skin feels dry and flaky, probably because it contains Hyaluronic Acid. She says that it improves the elasticity and firmness of the skin too.

Then She Uses A Non-Sticky Face Oil

Though many choose to skip oils entirely, Athiya claims that the Sunday Riley C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil is non-greasy and is absorbed quickly by the skin. Since it contains Vitamin C and turmeric, it fights pigmentation and makes the skin look even-toned.

Sun Proofing Is Non Negotiable For Her

Shetty sun-proofs her face with the Caudalie Very High Protection Lightweight Cream SPF50+ Vinosun Protect. She even reveals how much sunscreen to apply in general. It’s the three-finger rule.

Another tip? She applies sunscreen to her lips in place of an SPF-infused lip balm.

She Cannot Glamm Up Without Primer

She reaches out for the Hyaluronic Acid-infused Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer And Super Hydrating Primer next. It glazes and hydrates her skin along with extending the longevity of her makeup. Athiya compares the consistency of the primer to that of a serum.

Concealer Replaces Foundation

She spot-conceals with the Shisheido Synchro Skin Concealer in place of foundation for a more natural-looking finish. And Athiya uses her fingers to press the product in instead of a blender or sponge.

Fluffy Brows Are Created

With the Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil – 05 – Warm Black-Brown, she brushes the brows upward and fills in parts that aren’t as bushy, with the pencil.

She Plays Around With The Inner Corners

Athiya gravitates towards barely-there shades of pink for the eyes. She uses the Natasha Denona Retro Glam Palette to add a pop of green to the inner corners. This palette is perfect if you like subtle shades like Athiya and me.

Feline Flicks Are Attempted

She creates wings on her lids with the intensely pigmented Sephora Collection Black Ink – Classic Line Felt Liner. And like me, she struggles with it too.

She Gives Her Lashes A Next-Level Flutter

She curls the lashes before prepping them for mascara. The Too Faced Better Than Sex Volumizing Mascara is her go-to for flutter-ready lashes since the wand is hourglass-shaped making the application seamless.

Sunkissed Cheeks Come Right After

She applies the Nudestix Nudies All Over Face Color Bloom on her hand before dabbing the pigment to the cheeks. And, as always, she blends it in with her fingers. This blush is dewy, fresh, and blendable and Athiya even dabs some on the tip of the nose for a sunkissed, natural-looking finish.

She Puckers Up The Pout

Athiya uses the Sephora Collection Lip Blush – 12 Pillow Fight (Coral) and tops it off with the Sephora Collection Glossed Lip Gloss – 01 Boss. The lip blush has a matte, whipped-cream texture that glides on like butter. And the sheer, barely-there gloss plays into the dewy-dumpling look effortlessly.

And Finishes With A Floral Scent

She spritzes some of the Giorgio Armani My Way Eau De Parfum onto the wrist, and that’s it. This fragrance is a blend of oranges, jasmine, and vanilla, some of my all-time favourite notes. If you love floral-fruity scents, this is a must-have.
