Actress Anushka Sharma seems to have a special corner in her heart for cricket and cricketers. We still can’t get enough of Anushka’s fairy tale wedding to Indian cricket team skipper, Virat Kohli. Can you? No, right!

The two keep giving us #CoupleTravelGoals with their vacay pictures. Anushka who didn’t take many project after Zero in December 2018, is all set to feature in former Indian captain of women’s cricket team, Jhulan Goswami’s biopic. According to media reports, the actress was recently spotted in a similar hairstyle as Jhulan Goswami at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

The actress has reportedly given a nod to do a biopic on the legendary player. The film is said to have gone on the floors already.

Coming back to Jhulan (36), the cricketer is one of the most talented bowlers in the Indian Cricket Team. She set another record in February 2018 after taking 200 wickets during the second ODI of the three-match series with South Africa at the Diamond Oval in Kimberley. She also became the first woman cricketer (in ODIs) to achieve the feat. Jhulan has recently been awarded a BCCI award for the same.

This isn’t the first cricketer biopic, in December 2019, Taapsee Pannu announced starring in Shabaash Mithu, a film on the current team captain, Mithali Raj. Well, we all have seen biopics on male sportsmen including Milkha Singh, MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar. Films being made on sportswomen is certainly a change that we wanted to see in Bollywood.

Well, better late than never.
