From a shy girl in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) to a woman on a mission in Sui Dhaga (2019), Anushka Sharma has had a phenomenal journey. The actress has earned many accolades in her decade-long career and here comes another feather to her hat. Youngest in the lot, Anushka Sharma has been named in the Fortune India’s top 50 list of Most Powerful Women of 2019. The actress stands at rank 39 on the coveted list.
Fortune India wrote, “Sharma is not only the face of her clothing line Nush and several other brands such as Nivea, Elle 18, Myntra and Lavie, but also a producer. Clean Slate Films, which Sharma set up when she was 25, has produced three small-budget Hindi films -NH10, Phillauri, and Pari. They made around ₹40 crore each at the box office. Moving beyond Bollywood, Clean Slate Films has tied up with Netflix to produce a feature film titled Bulbul and a webseries called Mai. It is also developing and producing a web series for Amazon Prime Video”.

This is not the first time that Anushka has been featured by a reputed magazine. The leading lady of Bollywood also made it to Forbes Asia in their 30 Under 30 list of 2018, last year. One of the most popular actresses in India, she has received several awards for her stellar performances in the movies, including a Filmfare Award as well.
An avid animal lover, Anushka also supports various causes including animal rights. She is also the face of a number of charities associated with the subject of gender equality.
She also happens to be one of the leading & highest-paid actresses in Bollywood, Anushka Sharma stays extremely busy on the work front as well. She is currently exploring all formats of entertainment. Besides, the silver screen, Anushka has now ventured into digital production. She will next produce three projects for streaming television an as-yet-untitled cop drama series for Amazon Video and two projects for Netflix. These include a period drama film entitled Bulbul, and a drama series named Mai, centred around a middle-aged housewife fighting crime. The actress has featured in over 15 films so far and was last seen in Zero, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
