I Lost Myself And Some Of My Self Respect: Anusha Dandekar Opens Up About Her Breakup

Breakups are heartbreaking, messy, and sometimes, liberating as well. But, they are never easy and especially not for our celebrities. Their personal lives are constantly scrutinised by media, and their relationships often make headlines in the tabloids. As a result, when these celebs decide to call it quits, plenty of speculations and assumptions follow.

Something similar happened when Anusha Dandekar and Karan Kundra, one of the most loved couples of the television industry, decided to part ways. For the unversed, Anusha and Karan had been in a relationship for quite a long time and even hosted the MTV show called Love School together in 2016. However, back in April last year, rumours of their break up surfaced and their fans were shocked.

Anusha slammed the news back then and requested media to respect her privacy. She wrote on her Instagram story, “I know l am being way more vocal than usual but l am tired of people thinking my silence and kindness is weakness… l know who has gone to the press with this so called information… it’s sad that even In this devastating world crisis you wanted to make a spectacle of someone’s life.”

While the VJ neither denied nor confirmed the rumours then, she has penned down her emotions now. Anusha recently shared a heartfelt and detailed post on her Instagram handle where she talked about her breakup and the reason behind it. She revealed that she was cheated on in the relationship and never received the apology that she deserved. She wrote, “yes I did a show called Love School, yes I was your Love Professor, yes everything I shared and the advice I gave has always been real and from my heart… yes I love hard, so hard… yes I don’t leave till there is nothing left for me to try and fight for, yes even I’m human, yes even I lost myself and some of my self respect, yes I’ve been cheated and lied to… yes I waited for an apology, which never came, yes I learnt I actually had to apologise and forgive myself… And yes i grew, have grown and will continue to grow from all of it and look at the positive…”

While Anusha had hinted at her breakup several times on her social media handles, Karan has mostly remained quiet on the topic. The 1921 actor has not issued any statement about the matter and has not even reacted to Anusha’s post. Meanwhile, Anusha has further expressed that she’s healing and taking time to love herself.

She wrote, “You have watched me Love so openly… now please watch me LOVE myself till I’m so full that I can share it with someone again some day… My advice one last time; Love comes in many forms, just don’t let it consume so much, that you lose you, let Love be respectful, kind and most importantly honest. I deserve it, you deserve it. The most important thing is understanding this because we accept the love we think we deserve… Thankyou for always loving me the way you do my A team! I love you❤️ Forever grateful for the good and the bad, all are lessons learnt. My love story now begins with me…☺️”
